Oddsmakers! When will Hillary's pre-emptive Pardon be issued?
Slate ^ | 11.09.2016 | Me

While pre-emptive pardons remain very rare, there are a few notable exceptions. Perhaps the most famous presidential pardon of all time occurred before any charges were filed. Gerald Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon absolved the former president of "all offenses against the United States which he … has committed or may have committed or taken part in" between the date of his inauguration in 1969 and his resignation in August 1974. In other cases, presidents have pardoned individuals after criminal proceedings have begun but before a judgment has been handed down. In late 1992, less than a month before leaving office, President George H.W. Bush pardoned former Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger, who had been indicted earlier that year on perjury charges surrounding the Iran-Contra affair. (A lawyer for Roger Clemens' former trainer Brian McNamee claimed the pitcher might receive a similar pardon from Bush if he were ever indicted.) In addition, broad presidential amnesties—like the one President Carter issued to those who had avoided the draft during the Vietnam War—are essentially pre-emptive pardons issued to a large group of individuals. If someone hasn't yet been charged with a crime, how does the president know what to pardon them for? As in Nixon's case, President Bush could issue a pardon that applies generally to any crimes that may have been committed within a certain range of dates. More likely, a pardon could apply only to actions surrounding a single policy or place—say, the detention or interrogation of suspected al-Qaida members.

It is most likely that Obama and Hillary have a contingency plan known as PRE-EMPTIVE PARDON.

When do you think the Pardon will be issued?

I think it will be done the week prior to Trump being sworn in, and it will be announced as a pardon given to Hillary (and others) due to the threats Trump made during the campaign. Congratulations President Trump!

Trump will negotiate with the DNC in order for Hillary to not be indicted and prosecuted.

I think it’s already a done deal unfortunately.
The Foundation is another matter - it’s still in operation.

“Trump will negotiate with the DNC in order for Hillary to not be indicted and prosecuted.”

Why would he do that?

If she lives long enough .... the morning of President Trump's inauguration.

After that ... all bets are off.

NO President is a sin forgiving Christ and CANNOT forgive future sins/crimes.

Why would he do that? Because this is politics and this is Washington DC and ruling by phone and pen didn't work out so well for Obama. But make no mistake. I would be happy to see Hillary indicted and convicted along with Huma, Cheryl Mill and many more at the DOJ and State Department. Be that as it may, Obama just may start issuing blanket pardons for crimes not yet determined for Hillary and her crew -- which I think Trump could challenge. I.E You cannot be pardoned for Treason. Besides, who's going to pardon Obama's role in all this? Many of you don't agree or vehemently don't agree. We cannot have a full scale war DNC vs President Trump war. Trump needs to 'ideologically' subvert the DNC to his issues and perhaps provoke a leadership change in the Minority party. Just remember the Mick Jagger song. You can't always get what you want.

Clinton operation is a huge collection of loose ends that could threaten some of the current players.

Don’t be surprised if she doesn’t get a pardon. Obama would love to see her hang and there is nothing to gain by issuing one.

Agreed, and for the benefit of our National healing. One thing that my Father taught me (him a WWII veteran who saw action in the Pacific), and a staunch Republican, was that when Nixon was taken down it was the checks-and-balances of the American people and the U.S. Constitution that did it.

When President Ford pardoned Nixon, my Father said that Nixon suffered enough with the loss of his power, that it wouldn't serve any purpose to allow a lynching of him criminally, and that the Constitution worked exactly as intended by our Founders.

Hillary is now toast politically, it would serve no purpose to prosecute her at this point. The American People have spoken at the ballot box. Let the wicked witch melt away into obscurity ... she won't be missed ....

My Father was a wise man, God Bless his Soul in Heaven :)

They, the obama administration et al (including Hillary and the foundation and et cetera's) have done real damage.

Damage that needs to be restored, repaired or thrown out and re-done.

This is not a situation where someone SAID something and hurt some feelings.

Real men died real unnecessary deaths and it is murder ... mass murder if you will ... and someone MUST be held responsible.

Trump CANNOT BE TRUE TO HIS WORD to care for the vets if he does not prosecute this administration and hillary.

Does Clinton Crime Inc. own property in any any Countries without extradition agreements with the US? Right now the Clintons - all of them including Chelsea - are weighing the pros and cons of running vs paying off bammy and hoping he follows-through with the pardon. I would love to know all the variables in that calculation they are making right now, tonight, this minute... Because you know over in FBI land some top people are weighing their options too and just might suddenly “find cause” to actually enforce the laws of the land and take them all into custody.

Not looking for retribution ... please consider what I said in my post:

When President Ford pardoned Nixon, my Father said that Nixon suffered enough with the loss of his power, that it wouldn't serve any purpose to allow a lynching of him criminally, and that the Constitution worked exactly as intended by our Founders. Hillary is now toast politically, it would serve no purpose to prosecute her at this point.

The key point is that Hillary is now politically TOAST, as Nixon was in 1975, and that it wouldn't serve any useful purpose to prosecute her for her crimes from this moment onwards. Trump has stated in his victory speech that he wants to unite the American People, and if he goes after Hillary's crimes then it would only further divide the people. Pardoning Hillary would be a magnanimous gesture on his part, as President, she's already dead politically, prosecuting her wouldn't serve any useful purpose in his quest to Make America Great Again.

Just my opinion, your mileage may vary ....

Justice and the Rule of Law should not be put in a “it won’t do any good” category.
