Fairfax County VA is hard-core liberal.
At our voting location we have always been outnumbered by democrats (easy to tell by the sample ballots they get when going in).
Our family has a tradition of voting together. So this morning, we got up, had breakfast (me, the better half, and three college kids), then jumped in the cars to go vote.
There was a line of folks waiting for the republican sample ballot and I did not see one person going over to the democrat table. I couldn't believe my eyes.
I'm not saying this means anything, but that it is a stark contrast to previous elections.
I've vowed not to watch the news today (going hunting instead), but am going to wake up tomorrow for the result.

Only Hillary supporters wouldn’t want to know about the dwindling lines of democrats at the polls.
Well, the low info voters don’t get up until noon.

Anecdotal reports do not tell the whole story.
My son in Fairfax County voted early this morning and said he had to wait 45 minutes. So there are obviously lines at some precincts in Fairfax.

I wouldn’t know. I’m a southern Ohio boy where the bucks are huge and serious.

I’ll go cast my worthless vote here in CA in about an hour. Other that down-ballot issues, this state and all electoral votes are already locked dem. No drama here.

I’m in a very small precinct in southwest VA. The turn out is good with no Hillary signs in sight!
Well, I voted in Bloomfield, NJ around 6:30am this morning. it was busy...but here they just have tables set up alphabetically according to last names....so I have no clue really who was there to pull the lever for Clinton or Trump. However, I did see more Trump signs on lawns than Clinton. NJ is blue but at least I did my part.
I was voter #237 at 8:50 am in Falls Church. No line at all, and a pretty light turnout so far.
Wish I was at the farm instead of in the office. Hunting sounds like an excellent distraction from all this. It is a fine Fall day with a few showers here in the Ozarks. I’m so happy to see the heat pull back.
Most were laid to rest years ago, haven’t moved since.

Not in most recent years. Dems usually get Norfolk, Richmond, Portsmouth, Roanoke, and Hampton and Newport News. The rest of the state is pretty solidly red but this year may be different. Black vote is not as solid or motivated as the last two cycles. Virginia Beach is my home and still the largest city in the state and still solidly conservative. Trump will win big in VB. Trump has a shot but a big hurdle still.
Don’t apologize. This is the kind of thread Freepers are looking for today. I’m not generally a fan of vanities but Election Day is a little different.
