A piece aluminium that looks as if it was handmade is being hailed as 250,000-year-old proof that aliens once visited Earth.
The discovery of the mysterious chunk of metal in communist Romania in 1973 was not made public at the time, according to CEN.
Testing has since revealed that the object is made of 12 metals and is 90 per cent aluminium with Romanian officials dating it as being 250,000 years old.
The initial results were later confirmed by a lab in Lausanne, Switzerland, CEN reports.

Why would aliens produce a poorly made hunk of aluminum?
If it was from aliens that can space travel the manufacturing would be exquisite. Perfect finish. Perfect dimensions. Etc.
I have concluded that in order to time travel, you must have a space ship because the earth is constantly moving around the sun at the rate of 1.6 million miles per day and the sun is moving also. So unless your time machine is capable of spatial travel as well, you’ll end up millions of miles away from earth.
Smart enough to smelt but not smart enough to look up and see they lived in a hole?

if it’s truly 250,000+ years old... that means:
1. previous civilization was wiped out (very unlikely)
2. beings visited the planet and left the piece for some reason (very likely)
3. at some point in time, we develop time travel and the piece was accidentally left in the past (maybe)
It looks like part of an old tank track.
Carbon dating and other techniques have been proven wrong in various settings. There are no aliens period.

if we were to find evidence of intelligent alien life it would be something like this. a piece of space junk or something that is obviously a worked piece of metal made with technology that does not fit the time. I have my doubts about most UFO being alien craft but things like this stop and gives thought to the possibility that at some time in the past earth might of had extra terrestrial visitation if not a alien manned device perhaps a robotic ship sent out to probe the universe.

I think you are right. It’s either a piece of tank or bulldozer track.
It only proves that someone was capable of making aluminum well before it was known to have been made. Everything else is speculation.
I don’t think an advanced civilization capable of interstellar travel would make a space ship out of aluminum, but maybe this was some kind of shuttlecraft.

Just a guess but maybe to many government regulations and or high corporate taxes? not to mention a unjustifiably high minimum wage?
