I had cats and dogs my entire life, about 15 years ago I realized that my cats gave me a headache. They slept with me and I would wake up in pain and with itchy eyes and a stuffy nose.

The last cat passed away and I am only a dog person now. I hope and pray that I don’t start having a problem with dog dander. I couldn’t make it with out my pups.

I used to have severe allergies from one particular cat. Not so much with any others. My eyes would slough off a layer of eye ball skin every few days. I could pull it off. Who knew that was possible? Thankfully, I’m fine with other cats.

We’re up to 7 now including 3 feral kitties. The feral kitties are now coming in at night and one or two might wander onto my bed for a few minutes, sniff my toes and creep up to my face. The second I look at them - whoosh! they’re gone. They make themselves comfy on the couch and their bowl is behind my desk, but again, if someone walks past - whoosh! Two are on the porch, on a rocking chair and a table but if I so much as looks out the open door, they’ll run off in terror. It’s doubtful they’ll be domesticated.

Somehow, they need to be caught to be fixed. Neighbors have been shooting cats and hauling them off so we don’t need more.
