Spent a week in Paris recently.
Hard to miss the teams of about five soldiers patrolling the streets just about anywhere you go.
There are some parts of the city I just don’t go to anymore.

Mexicans, in this case, are just gateway illegal immigrants.

As far as I can tell, Poland and Hungary seem to be the only countries with enough sense to shut their borders to these “hordes”

I was there 6 years ago and when Lance A “won” his 7th TDF. I will always remember that Paris regardless of those snobby waiters at the Elysee. I knew it was coming and I’m also canadian. They hated my French and remarked it “barbaric”. It’s all good.

Socialism in action. Does it look like that in Venezuela, also?

It is a portent of the USA under President Hillary? ...or is it Detroit or Baltimore after decades of Democratic rule?

I am living just to the south of Paris at the moment and never go into Paris except when I go to the airport.

I have been to Paris before as a tourist and was not overly impressed. That said, I am not a fan of big cities in general. Paris is not terrible either though. There are just far better places in France to visit where you will enjoy yourself, risk of petty crime is less, and the French are more friendly.

There are a large number of African and gypsy thieves you must watch out for in Paris especially around tourism zones. They have a number of tricks to distract you, etc. The gypsy thieves are the most sly (they will try to become part of your group so people behind you won’t notice, then take a phone out of your purse if you don’t have a zipped one or pants - I have seen this happen - just before a metro entrance where they make their move and get away). They also do pass offs etc, it’s very organized.

As far as the illegal ‘refugees’ go though the French aren’t exactly hospitable to them. There’s a reason there’s a large camp of them at Calais waiting to slip into Britain. Same reason French refugee numbers are small relative to some of the other countries.

I like the Will Favor solution;

Head ‘em up!

Move ‘em out!

Send them to where they belong.

It’s been said that in the old days Beirut was the “Paris of the Middle East.”

Now, Paris is the “Beirut of Europe.”

I was in Paris in 1972 and it was already nothing to write home about. My impression at the time was that someone else had built a beautiful city, left, and others moved in and claimed the city and its art as their own. But after looking at the video of those vermin, I realize now just how wrong I was back then in thinking that the “City of Light” had reached rock bottom...

You can thank the "Soixante-Retards" for that.
