I see this like an old west town being savaged by outlaws. The outlaws never welcomed the gunslinger hired to clean up the town.
many of the GOP-E are IN ON THE TAKE, they are sold out to the graft in WashDC
and Donald does not need that filthy lucre
and Donald says he will clean up WashDC
to the extent he can actually do this, he represents a threat to the GOP-E crooks and money=whores
All of that but the primary reason for the vitriol is that he is not one of them.
I would say that about sums it up. Trump is about to end their little fiefdoms, and they don’t like it. Screw them.

Trump is running as a grass-roots Republican and not part of the established order. He destroyed the GOPe challengers and they can’t forgive him for not caving-in to them. The Democrats are just being Democrats. They’d have demolished any GOPe rival, too.They may not even had to work as hard.
Because he wants the U.S. to continue to exist.
Because he is a threat to the killing of babies.
He’s running as a Republican and pretty successfully by the polls.

Everybody, on both sides of the aisle, in DC is terrified of DJT because, if he wins, they will no longer have access to the WH. No access means no influence. No influence means no power. No power means no money!!!!! The gravy train for all these lobbyists, K Street lawyers, advisors, media types, political strategists, lifetime bureaucrats etc, etc. will be over! All this is, of course, aside from the fear in DC of what criminal action DJT would take against the current cabal!
I wonder if they commited a crime(s) and if they dont have the right amount of power they may all go to jail
