SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The day after the first Kings’ preseason game, the buzz is all about what happened before the first play. Singer Leah Tysse took the microphone to sing the national anthem, then she took a knee – and took the audience by surprise.

Bay Area Singer Leah Tysse took the opportunity to make a statement of her own on Tuesday night by kneeling on the court while singing the national anthem.
She explained her decision on Facebook: “Taking a knee felt like the most patriotic thing I could do. I cannot idly stand by as black people are unlawfully profiled, harassed and killed by our law enforcement over and over without a drop of accountability.”

Many people are now taking the view that our dusky fellow citizens of African heritage should get on a plane, (or boat) and return to their continent of origin.
Aside from the moral implications and the logistical nightmare, I oppose this path also for the economic consequences: Who is to pay for all that? Are the taxpayers on the hook for millions, nay, BILLIONs, of $$$ to put millions of people on planes, or boats?
I say no tax dollars for this purpose; not one cent. I will, however, chip in $5 for swim trunks.

Do facts matter to anyone?
Poster boys for this black lives matter business, such as Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and Freddie Gray, brought their demise on themselves, through their own regrettable actions.
Legal action proceeded in each of these cases, and the legal system exonerated everyone involved.
So what the heck do these people want??? A friggin revolution???
How about we seal off ghettos, such as the south side of Chicago, Crenshaw in LA, Anacostia in Washington DC, etc. and let blacks govern themselves. Only blacks allowed. So by defintion, there will be black police, black government officials, etc. Then there can be no talk of racism, if blacks are the ones who oversee other blacks.
There have been 20 homicides so far in the month of October, 2016.
There have been 588 homicides so far in 2016.
The vast majority of these homicides are black private citizens killing other black private citizens. The police are not involved.
And Chicago isn't even the most murderous city in these United States.
Never heard of her. Some local gal? Make them sign a contract revoking payment if they do this crap.
You want the National Anthem sung right hire a country western singer. Like Carrie Underwood. Or Lee Greenwood.
