some rich Republican donors that have undo influence.

I think you meant "undue" influence, but this is even better.

(They think) they have influence to "undo" something that they don't like.

I’d love to see the Wikileaks dump on the scheming.

Beware the Ides of October.

Four weeks to go, and Trump is having his Ides of March moment on schedule. Perhaps in this age of information, mud is as deadly as blades.

Still, that info age cuts both ways. We are forewarned and we are cynical about the purveyors of information. Furthermore, thanks to the leftists, our tolerance of mud is rather high.

They are hoping that Trump loses so McMullin will have a shot next cycle.

That's a real stretch. Source?

McMullin has absolutely no chance, ever.

Some Mormons are delusional (as are some Evangelicals), thinking that they can "make a statement" by not voting for either candidate.

They (some Mormons) don't realize what is at stake for the country, but most understand that any no-Trump vote is a vote for Hellary. Give them some credit.

Hillary is counting on "blocks" of voters whom she hopes can swing it her way--or at least away from Trump. Mormons make up about 1.5% of the population, about the same percentage as gays. That's a substantial block only because they vote, unlike other groups. Hillary is wrong in assuming that they will all stay home or vote third party en masse.

This is all speculation on my part. I have Mormon friends, and none supports McMullin, let alone Hillary.

There are so many people out there with knives in their hands it’s difficult to figure out who stabbed first.

RAT Romney’s Meadow Massacre 2 = Obama and Islamic terror.

History will not be kind to RAT Romney who regards
himself as a god and demands his people bow and bathe him.

Henkster I’ve been thinking this a while too - I hope Trump sees it forming up and can bag YUGE numbers of indies, dems, and repubbs by pointing out the uni party’s hatred for us,...open borders, etc all now provable via Wikileaks.

But...if he doesn’t win, it is by no means over. By. No. Means.

They have miscalculated for a year or more and continue to do so. We will eventually get our Country back - maybe not just yet. As usual, I think it will get worse first.

I “fired” the GOP many years ago and have voted as an independent in every election (national to local) since the days of the Bush dynasty.

But most of those independent parties are just pro drug parties.
After Trump the GOP will be over, so a new party needs to form.

I don’t think you fully understand what I said. I said I vote as an independent...not that I belong to some type of independent party. I am TRULY independent and vote for the individual...not the party. I give money to the individual...not the other’s in his/her party.

I base my vote upon the character, morals and the perceived ability of my candidate (regardless as to what party) to preserve our heritage and the old American way of life we had before LBJ.

I am curious: what aspects of that old American way of life are you most looking to preserve, and how often do you determine a Democrat candidate is the best suited for preserving it?

I was with you on your take of the Mormon tie in with American politics—up until your seeing McMullin as having, or being perceived as having, a shot in 2020.

How do you get to that thinking?

Yep. And we were all concerned when he took a number of the other, failed campaigns’ operatives onto his team.

Still, they would have got there otherwise and it has all the hallmarks of a Bush/Romney effort.

“...how often do you determine a Democrat candidate is the best suited for preserving it?”

There are NO Democrat candidates on the higher level I have ever voted for. However, on our lowest levels (City and County) of government there have been some more highly qualified and trustworthy than the majority or of the Republicans running on that level.

Once they “move up the ladder” they all become totally “brainwashed” and corrupted just like the Republicans.
