It might cause campaign officials some distress, but it likely will not affect the sheeple unless something really damaging is released, something that the MSM cannot ignore. Remember that most people still get their news (propaganda) from the MSM outlets, mostly the TV nightly news. Yes, I know they are losing viewers, just like newspapers are losing readers, but their numbers are still strong. They may be a dying empire, but even a dying empire still has some strong lashes. If Assange keeps teasing along, letting out bits and dribbles that may be like bait for a larger fish, time is short and may run out before fatal damage is done to the ‘Rats.
