Darn tooten!
God gives us angels on earth.
(But keep a bunch of sanitary wipes on hand just in case!)
I’ve been to a casino one time. I taught at a Catholic School & they held an all day workshop at one. I remember: no Windows, old ladies smoking at 8 in the morning, people having mixed drinks, people sitting at slot machines w/ buckets of quarters and the grand finale.....our “ luncheon!” We waited, starving as they brought the meals in w/ the silver domed lids & found out our feast was tunafish & crackers......people were not happy.
All in all a really sad & desperate environment. I took a shower as soon as I got home & never went back!
Thats funny...... :o)
when we started up with entitlement mentality, privilged classes, protected classes, and the like.
Those days are nothing but a distant memory to old folks and totally unknown to the under 35 crowd. So much for civilization.
November, 1992.
Hell is modeled after Chuck E. Cheese.
I refused to go. The wife went without me.
“I hated that place with a passion.”
Ha! Your story could have been written by me. Only difference was I had to go there all too often for my grandchildren’s parties. Everything you said is true, and I always left there with a roaring headache. I was SO glad when they outgrew that horrible place.
Not me. I was expecting to see in-laws. I didn't positively ID them, but I'm not 100% sure I was wrong, either.
“Now mess with my Pizza Hut or Dominoes pizza and youve got WWW III!”
Lord love a duck! It’s well past time for you to have a vacation in NY. See the Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty, a Broadway show. And most of all: EAT PIZZA!
“Chucky Cheese serves beer.”
That really explains a lot.
That really explains a lot.
There pizza is so bad that it takes a LOT of beer to wash it down.
“Maybe it’s as simple as “the day before the first Chuck E. Cheese opened” ? (Or maybe opened in a certain kind of neighborhood.) “
I think it’s both.
We ate at Pizza Hut and never had this problem. Pizza Hut was never in a bad area of town.
‘Is it just me, am I getting old or was there actually a day and age when folks dined out and acted civil?’
‘Maybe it’s as simple as “the day before the first Chuck E. Cheese opened” ? (Or maybe opened in a certain kind of neighborhood.)’
Looked back to see when the chain first started. Looks to be May of 1977.

‘Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theatre in San Jose, California, was the first location to open in May 1977. The concept was authored by Atari co-founder Nolan Bushnell, credited with bringing video games such as Pong to the mainstream. The Pizza Time Theatre was the first family restaurant to integrate food, animated entertainment, and an indoor arcade.
Following a filing for bankruptcy, the chain was acquired by competitor Showbiz Pizza Place in 1984, forming Showbiz Pizza Time, Inc. In 1990, the company began unifying the two brands with the goal of renaming every location to Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza. They redesigned the logo in 1994, dropping Pizza from each store’s name. In 1998, Showbiz Pizza Time, Inc. became CEC Entertainment, Inc., and the company operates 590 locations as of 2015.’
Neck-tattooed white trash.
There was recently a killing just across the street from our Chuck E. Cheese. The perp was dressed up like a Nazi, and he may have been a muslime.
Odd, that.
