Name the most BORING Movie You Ever Saw
Self | October 1, 2016 | PJ-Comix

A few days ago I watched the 2015 movie, "Steve Jobs" on the Tube. One word description: BORING!!! Despite great material to work with, it was one big borefest. Aaron Sorkin's scipt was largely to blame. It didn't feel like real people involved talking. It came off as a platform for SorkinSpeak. You can always tell a movie he has written. It has his peculiar SorkinSpeak which consists of rapid fire chit chat signifying nothing.

Okay, that is my idea of the most boring movie that I have ever seen. What is yours? Remember, this doesn't mean WORST movie, only most BORING movie.

The funny part was that one of my friends ( a Freeper too) worked on that movie so he handed a Blu ray copy to me. Every damn movie since Pulp Fiction, Tarantino movies get more stupid and boring with his fancy conversations.

As an example, in Kill Bill, it was a 20 minute TALK scene when Uma was ready to kill Bill. Sh*t dude, just kill him and STFU.

I read Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead as a play many years ago--it's fine as a play script because you can read it in a few minutes and be done with it. I didn't know it had been turned into a movie.

So that’s what it meant!
Thanks for parsing it out.

RE: “The first weapon was the beginning of technology.

You won’t think it’s so boring when the computers take over. It’s called the Singularity and it’s about to occur a lot sooner than people think.

The baby is the computer. We are still in the baby stages”

Cheech: Hey, what you watchin’, man?

Chong: It’s a movie about Indians, but it’s really boring.

Cheech: Hey, that’s not a movie, man, that’s a test pattern!

“I don’t watch BORING movies to their respective conclusions!”

Yep. I also don’t remember them because of that.

“Bill” did make a good point about Superman, but other than that you were right (I guess the daughter hampered the revenge for a time).

For me, “The Naked Island.”

It’s a Japanese film from 1960 about a group of poor people who live on an island. Every day they walk down the mountain and get water, then walk back up. After seeing them do this for what seemed like days, I finally couldn’t take it anymore and turned the thing off.

And I love “Last Year At Marienbad” and Eric Rohmer films, so it’s not like I need an action fix.

"Meteor". Fell asleep and missed about half of it.

"Blue Money", an x-rated flick about people making x-rated flicks.

The first "Indiana Jones" movie ... hated it except for the scene where he pulls out the pistol and blows away the samurai guy.

Haven’t seen either one of those. I don’t really count foreign films, because different cultures look at cinema differently. We see their films as boring, they see ours as shallow.

I finally watched Rashomon (1950, Kurosawa) last year. They talked way too much.

Even the Japanese Godzilla (1955) had way too much dialog. It’s a freakin’ monster movie, man! Stomp and Chomp!
