Some day... I WILL learn to play the violin...
Like this...Just to play THIS.... and drink run while doing so.
That should be “Rum”... not run...
Here’s a great version:

THE GAEL (from Last of the Mohicans) — THE AMERICAN ROGUES & THE U.S. AIR FORCE SYMPHONY
I needed that. Energizing!
I enjoyed that. Thank you.
It’s just stunningly beautiful.
If I could go back in time, I’d be on the Frontier, with Chingatchcook, Uncas, and Hawkeye... and that music would be in my head.
From “Braveheart”

You and No Other.
Awesome music should be shared...
:^)
Love this song. I feel energy, strength and bravery. A song perfect for these times.
Another movie that could never be made today because of political correctness.
DIS... is de MOOSIC... uff My PEEPLE!!!!!!!!!!!
[ you can’t hear the accent... but it’s there...]
:^)
But it’s ok..
Because it’s ALREADY MADE... and MILLIONS of folks have seen it and love it, and will show others.
And the PC bastards can’t change that.
But it shows that peaceful Native Americans used to spend their time killing each other. And that they massacred white people. How could that be permitted to be shown?
Life’s a bitch when faced with reality, ain’t it? :^)
Read “For A Few Acres of Snow” by Robert Leckie when you get a chance. They weren’t so peaceful.
Leckie is also the author of “Helmet For My Pillow” and one of the main people in HBO’s “The Pacific”.
“Tribal Wars of the Southern Plains” by Stan Hoig is also and incredible read.
Bottom Line: the Indians were just as full of human nature as anyone else - they warred, fought, loved, lived, cried, laughed and died like anyone else all through history.
Here’s more, for bravery, for these times:
Braveheart

Henry V - Saint Crispin’s Day Speech

Perfect for these days...
Stand fast, folks. This is OUR time.
One of my ALL TIME favorite movies. Watched it probably 20 times. The music is GREAT! The acting is superb!
It IS an amazing film.
Will be watching it tonight.
Followed by Braveheart and Henry V... Long night ahead, with Rum...
And tomorrow, I’ll dig out 1940’s “Northwest Passage” with Spencer Tracy and Robert Young, about Roger’s Rangers, directed by King Vidor.
Worth the watch.
Watch “The Renevant” then tell me you want to go hang out.
Life was brutal and people were hard and worn.
“...Life was brutal and people were hard and worn....”
It still is, and people still are. Only technology has changed. Nothing else.
And yes, I’d still go back if I could.
Those folks back there were a HELL of a lot freer than we are now. And they backed it up with the muzzle.
