Sad story for this great band. Two members committed suicide. They were robbed by management.

Brian Epstein got 25% of The Beatles, btw. The Colonel supposedly got 50% of Elvis.

Walter White’s exit song (if he really died!!!) is correct

It was almost as if the entire series was a setup for that punchline - it was so perfect I actually cheered.

Badfinger was George Harrison recording under an alias, yes?

(Great song!)

Yeahm the poor guys got stiffed financially by their management.
Joey Molland, who left the group because of the bad mgmt situation, still tours under the Badfinger name. I don’t think any of the rest of the group is still with us.

If you wanna read an interesting story about a group being “managed”, you should read Tommy James book. The Shondells were on the Roulette label which was a front business for the Genovese mob, the Shondells didn’t see a whole lot of money from royalties. On the plus side, they didn’t get their legs broken.

“Sad story for this great band.”

Absolutely. There’s a great documentary on Netflix called, “The Sold a Million” which talks about the whole story. Peter Hamm was a great songwriter - he hung himself at 27.

“Badfinger was George Harrison recording under an alias, yes?”

No, Peter Hamm wrote most of the songs - but they were discovered by Harrison and, if memory serves me, were the first band other than the Beatles to be signed to Apple Records.
