A draw.

A draw. No major knockout on either side. Trump stood up for himself when necessary. I don't think it will move the needle, and Krauthammer made a good observation: Draws usually go to the challenger, and that is Donald Trump.

If I were to advise Trump, it would consist of the following:

1) Complete your sentences. You are giving the audience too much credit for figuring out what you mean when you shoot off two or three words.

2) Stop repeating the same point 5 or 6 times. You are wasting time.

3) Speak less to broad concepts and more to the common man.

4) Affability matters. Reagan won on affability. Smile a little more, but not with that forced weird smile Hillary plastered on most of the debate. Also, an affable Reaganesque "There you go again"-style phrase, queued up and ready to go when appropriate, would work wonders.

5) Next time, don't leave those hanging slow pitches unswatted. For example, when Hillary talks about your charity, mention her Clinton Foundation that only gives out 6% of it's money to charitable works. Also, speak more about how Hillary is the DC Establishment, and you are there to challenge that. Many people will identify that as a key takeaway.

On the whole I give Hillary high marks, and Trump close but not as good. Stylistically Hillary did very well, but in content Trump nailed it a few times.

However, he needs to take a reality check and prepare more in a structured debate setting. Obama had a HORRIBLE first debate and came back strong. Trump wasn’t horrible, but he needs to come back strong. I know he can do it.

So are you drunk when you post? Or do you have no excuse for the idiocy?

Get back to me when your opinion is your own. Seriously, why would I waste my time arguing with one of her lackeys when I have no respect for her, much less for someone who's olny claim to fame is as one of her suppositories?

And this point is why your "opinion" is only relevant on FR, IMO.

We need to step back and look upon such a "spectacle" from the viewpoint of the LIV. Such an expectation is not realistic to those who do not follow politics 7x24x365.

A draw, likely. Advantage: Mr. Trump, IMO.

Most on FR were expecting a "kill shot" or an unrealistic health episode that would end the contest once and for all.

We need to look at the overall scenario from the viewpoint of those who are not necessarily "informed" or "opinionated" as "we" are.

It was a draw i the manner of two heavy weights landing blows that staggered each other but didn’t bring each other down. trump is going to have to really pound her on the e-mails and Benghazi. He’s got to go after like a knife fight in a phone booth.

Leave the kill shots for the last debate in a timed response.

IMHO.
The debate exposed her weaknesses far more than his.

Point out that ALL business decisions are being made to abode by the tax codes, so when he doesn’t pay taxes, that MEANS HE did EVERYTHING the democrats wanted businessmen to do with their finances. The ONLY way he could end up not paying taxes was by doing EVERYTHING the DEMOCRATS demanded the business do to get the tax breaks.

They didn’t shortchange anybody, UNLESS the democrats really didn’t want to impose the tax regulations they demanded.

No: 1) as I said earlier today, Trump has already won the social media poll war, so he overwhelmingly won; 2) there is a Frank Luntz focus group graph that CRATERS among . . . Wait for it. . . . Undecideds every time Cankles spoke.

An interesting read. I also believe she and Bo did alot to create ISIS. Note how she telegraphed her very close listening to what he might have known about their complicity. She was very extremely attentive to what he manifested in his comments.

This tells us several things.

1) She and Obama don’t know the whole story.

2) She and Obama were complicit and guilty as hell in the formation of ISIS.

3) Her lack of omniscience of Benghazi manifests she was guilty as hell and still thinks she can cover it up.

I think that she and BO helped fuel ISIS. I also think that Trump knows her participation in creating ISIS and destabilizing the middle east. But...
Trump is too civil to throw it out there without documentation.
Trump is not showing all his cards.
Tonight Trump had to introduce himself (not as a bully)to the LIV. That Hilary helped create ISIS would make Trump appear “Alex Jones” crazy to people outside of Free Republic.

illary had a remote controlled IV pump wired onto her. Between that, having a earpiece tucked behind her hair deep in her ear, and Lester slobbering Holt attacking her opponent, well, she barely made it through! BTW, that spectacle did not even pass for a debate. And illary not only had the questions in advance, she planted someone in the audience to use with one of her responses!

Great reflections. Clinton appeared snobby and clearly stated problems. However, she had many years to solve the problems and she does not talk about the solutions. Trump needs to relax and let Clinton just be herself: an empty loser.

Chris Matthews and his moonbat panel are smug and crowing. Chrissy said Hillary was like the matador who baited, then kept stabbing the snorting bull until he finally whimpered out at the end of the debate, over her disgusting closing remarks about women. The MSLSD crew are gleefully proclaiming "Hillary controlled the debate!"

Hillary knew the questions. It is how they roll. Trump did great. He will also go up in the polls and do even better in the next debate. I just got an email from Hillary telling me she just took on Donald Trump and needed to make sure I was still with her. She wants money. Dream on!

Just a little anecdote about my young teen years. I had an uncle that loved to play pool (billiards for us snobs).

When I was visiting my grandparents I would get bored at their home. Uncle would take me downtown (a small town back east) to the pool hall.

He would watch people play and I would sit and be as bored as ever but would stay attentive.

Uncle would watch and when there was a local champ that would emerge Uncle would step up and ask if he could take a shot at it. The champ would say sure and Uncle would proceed to lose badly. There were side bets of $10 under the table as playing for money was considered gambling and was strictly illegal. This was back in the sixties so $10 wasn’t small. My parent’s mortgage payment was $142 a month.

My Uncle would meekly ask to try a second time and the ‘champ’ said rack ‘em up! Uncle started losing again and I looked around the hall and over at the bar. The barkeep was wiping glasses and would sneak a quick look at Uncle now and then. When he saw me looking his way he smiled back, turned and looked up at the ceiling whistling some tune. There was another man sitting down at the end of the bar that I recognized. It was old Harvey who Grandpop and Uncle would play Gin Rummy with at the Firehouse. Harvey was smiling and had to put his hand over his mouth to keep from breaking out laughing. I didn’t understand what was so funny.

My Uncle lost that second game pretty bad but not as bad as the first. Now he was out $20 and he started cursing that his wife was going to hang him out to dry if he didn’t win that money back. He looked my way and winked while passing his index finger over his lips to let me know to stay quiet. I knew something was wrong because Uncle didn’t have a wife.

Uncle continued looking like he was going to face hell as he pulled his wallet out and looked in the fold. He grew angry as pulled out the only bill larger than the two $1 bills he had in there. It was a $50 bill. Few people carried $50 bills in their wallets that I knew and this was maybe the 2nd or 3rd time in my life I had seen one.

Uncle looked at the ‘champ’ and said he wanted another round bad but whispered he couldn’t let go his $50 (and he couldn’t break it at the bar because it was illegal to play for money in the hall).

The champ stepped up and said he could break Uncle’s $50 for five $10 bills. Uncle looked so confused and troubled. He said he didn’t know what to do. He’d already lost $20 and if he lost another $10 he might as well not even go home. Besides he said, wife knew he had the $50 bill which was the monthly grocery money and she wanted it. If she didn’t get that $50 bill she would think he’d been out drinking with it.

The champ looked at Uncle and said “treble bet”. I did not quite understand what it meant but later learned it meant that if Uncle won, not only would he win $50 but he would win back each of the $10 from the first two games.

Uncle looked at the champ, then looked around cursing “damn woman!” in reference to his fictitious wife, and said “rack ‘em up”!

Uncle broke and sunk the 7 into a corner pocket. Calling out each shot and chalking his stick on each round he sank the 3 into a side pocket, then a bank shot to sink the 5 into a corner, the 4 banked into a side, the 3 on a combo into a corner, the 6 on a slow glancing shot to the side, the 1 on a combo bank shot into a corner and finally he called the 8 into a corner and caused it to do a slow roll right to where he called it.

Uncle reared his head back, placed his stick on the table, reached down to the side table, scooped up all the cash, walked quickly towards the exit door and half way looked back at the champ saying “Thanks for the games! It was real nice playing with ya!”

I had to almost run to catch up with him outside. He took me down to a drugstore where they had an ice cream bar and bought me a chocolate soda.

I learned it’s good to lose. It’s even better to lose twice.
