FULL TITLE: Moment a woman rushes out of bed and opens fire on three armed burglars who broke into her home - shooting one dead
Incredible footage has been released showing the moment a Georgia woman rushed out of her bed in the middle of the night and opened fire at three armed men who broke into her house, killing one.
The surveillance footage, released by the Gwinnett County Police Department, shows the intruders - all of whom are carrying guns - bursting through the front door and rummaging through the house in the September 16 incident in Gwinnett.
Seconds after entering the home, the woman is seen coming out of her bedroom in pajamas with a handgun, and fires several shots at the armed suspects, according to WSB TV 2.

Truly disappointing,... That she waxed only one and not all three of them.
This is why I would never use a wheel gun as a personal defense weapon. Defenders of them can say what they want, but once those five or six rounds have been expended, you’re out of the fight. I keep my Glock 23 on me during the day and on my nightstand at night. With two magazines, I have 40 chances to neutralize any threat. Even if I can only grab one magazine at nighttime, I still have 27 chances to neutralize any threat. I’ll take that over five or six chances any day. Or night.

I agree. The dispatcher needs considerably more training plus a large infusion of common sense. She wasted valuable time

I came away with the same observations. This should be a case study for those who feel comfortable subjugating their personal safety to a 911 dispatcher.
Try to imagine if this woman had not had a gun with which to defend herself and her call to 911 was to have a police car dispatched while the thugs were still on the premises?
The dispatcher spent almost 3 minutes micro-analyzing every word the caller was saying before even beginning to have a unit dispatched. I understand that the broken English may have been a bit difficult to translate at times, but the dispatcher showed no sense of urgency in getting a unit out to the caller.
Kudos to the woman for defending herself and getting at least one criminal off the streets permanently.
