Six inconvenient truths about the U.S. and slavery

Those who want to discredit the United States and to deny our role as history’s most powerful and pre-eminent force for freedom, goodness and human dignity invariably focus on America’s bloody past as a slave-holding nation.

This is an old article that I recently saw. It does not matter as it is timeless.

We practiced slavery for less than a century. What about in other parts of the world.

The whole slavery argument is null and void.

One thing that amazes me is that of 10.7 million slaves that arrived in the New World. Henry Gates says about 388k arrived in what would be America. 425k if you count the few than made it here from Haiti. This was over about 225 years.
That seed has turned into about 37 million African Americans today.

Bush and Obama let in almost 2 million moslems in the 15 years since 911. Our great grandkids will endure the presence of 75-100 million moslems in America.

SEND EM BACK SEND EM BACK.

We cannot exist as a country with mohammedans.

And BTW, there would have been no black slave trade without mohammedans. They ran the black slave trade. The black tribes would catch other tribe members and sell them to mohammedans, who would then sell them around the world.

It is ALL the mohammedans’ fault, and they still have slaves. They’ve always been into enslavement for fun and profit.

Yes, Africans and Muslims sold slaves, but no one forced the colonists to go to Africa and actually purchase human beings and then sell them on an auction block.

I suppose you posted an excerpt unless the truths were truly too inconvenient to mention.

Being of Irish descent, I imagine that on several occasions my ancestors were enslaved by Viking raiders.

Each time that happened, a farmer who could have gone on to become a landowning royal was knocked back to being a grunt slave.

If not for those durn Vikings I might be an Irish or British Lord with tens of thousands of hectares of landholdings.

Where are my reparations?

Can't I at least get a moderately sized castle? Maybe one with a moat and a drawbridge?

“The colonists didn’t.”

Who owned, bought and sold other human beings to be slaves in the American Colonies?

40 acres and a mule in Zimbabwe as reparations.

Think about it, it was the Indians who really got screwed over.

And BTW, there would have been no black slave trade without mohammedans. They ran the black slave trade.>> i know but we did buy them. there would be no black slave trade without buyers and this is a major problem with our particular compromise with evil. that wasn’t a compromise of politics. it was and still is a compromise with evil.

also the british did not legalize slavery in their country only in the colonies. they knew it was wrong but still chose to benefit as a third party beneficiary.

Medved is a jackass NEVERTRUMPER

And I could give a rats ass about slavery

Slaves in North America lived longer and under better conditions than those left behind in the Congo or Niger watersheds

That’s the reality

It was brutal times as has most of humanity been

Now slavery is an excuse to act inherently bad.....all over the black world even where there wasn’t slavery

Any excuse for folks who have never caught up and are in decline

White paternalism worked better but naive stupid white freepers who think like Medved just have no experience with it outside of high end exposure at cocktail parties

‘The whole slavery argument is null and void.”

That was Medved’s position also, which he elaborated on in detail. So it may be worth bookmarking as reference material.

“Can’t I at least get a moderately sized castle? Maybe one with a moat and a drawbridge?”

That’s what Brad Pitt did. It set him back $65M. He says that France is a good place to raise children (if you have a castle).

Yes that was an excerpt. It seems I failed to click the “excerpt” box. I thought the lead paragraph served well.

I thought the 6 arguments against “white guilt” or reparations were good, but too lengthy for me to include.
