According to the 2014 Report of the International Narcotics Control Board, seizures of methamphetamine at the United States-Mexico border increased from just over 2 tons in 2008 to over 10 tons in 2012.
The International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) said that law enforcement efforts led by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration targeting heroin traffickers had led to an increase of more than 320% in seizures along the United States-Mexico border between 2008 and 2013.
In its 2014 report, the INCB said that "methamphetamine manufacture in Mexico has been increasing, with the United States continuing to be the largest market for the substance. Seizures of methamphetamine at the United States-Mexico border have also increased signficantly, from just over 2 tons in 2008 to over 10 tons in 2012."
