I recently spent one year as a card-carrying Libertarian Party member as an experiment to see what they were all about. (I had been a member for many years a couple of decades ago.)
The opinion of Gary Johnson expressed in the quote is the same as my opinion of what the whole Party has degenerated into.
They've been sending me Party renewal notices every couple of weeks. Finally, I got one with a postage-paid return envelope; so it's going to get mailed back today—with a note to cancel my membership.

I think Gary Johnson will get 2-3% of the national vote. It will be an improvement over 2012, but he won’t come close to the 8-12% he is currently getting in the various national polls.
I’ve never been a libertarian (even though my nickname looks like I am) I was a libertarian leaning Conservative when I signed up here 10 years ago - still am.
