Vehicle spraying a mist or fog in Dallas Texas neighborhood.

Just observed a vehicle with bright flashing yellow lights proceeding at about 5 mph spraying a fog or mist at about a 45 degree up angle on my street at 1:41 am.

Spray mist went up about 8-9 feet above ground level.

I listen to the local news extensively and there has not been any mention of this activity on any radio station in any form.

I was taking out the trash in Garland a few weeks ago and saw a truck like that. It freaked me out, but I figured it was mosquito spray. Another possibility was a terrorist spraying anthrax, but I forgot about it until your post and didn’t contract anthrax, so I think I’m good.

In Florida, such spray fogging by truck is often deployed to combat local mosquito infestations. Some ares, primarily in south Florida, have a more severe mosquito problem and also spray from aircraft.

We had an outbreak of West Nile Virus here in NYC in 1999 and the same thing happened: trucks came by in the early nighttime without warning, spraying everywhere heavily.

I saw one coming up my street and ducked into the nearest building just in time.
