A survivor of the 2007 Minneapolis bridge collapse that killed 13 people and injured 145 is now facing terror charges after authorities say he went to Syria to join the Islamic State group.
Mohamed Amiin Ali Roble was charged Wednesday by criminal complaint with providing and conspiring to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
Roble, now 20, was nearly 11 when the school bus he was riding plummeted about 30 feet as the bridge collapsed.
He was injured and was eligible for more than $91,000 in settlement funds on his 18th birthday. That was just weeks before federal prosecutors say he left the country.
