Take this with a good grain of salt, since Donny Deutsch is a Hillary-supporting Dem, but Donny does run in the same New York circles as Donald Trump, and has called him a friend.
Guest co-hosting on With All Due Respect today, Deutsch said “I can actually see Trump bailing. I can’t see us ever getting to the point where election night, Trump becomes George McGovern. He is not going to allow—it’s just not in his system . . . I cannot see him the rest of his life with a big ‘L’ on his face.” Mark Halperin called the notion of Trump dropping out of the race a “Manhattan fantasy.”

There’s a much better chance of Hillary dropping, and I mean literally dropping, before Trump.

At this point, there is no possible way for Trump to save face by dropping out, even if that was his inclination, which absolutely is not. Trump is in it to win it. And he will.

Let's face it: Liberal voters are going to vote Clinton. She could be one of those plywood cutouts of sick Soviet Politburo members we used to jokingly say they used to roll out at the annual May Day Parade, and they would still vote for her. They could walk in the room as she sank her teeth into the corpse of some ill-gotten infant, and they would still vote for her.
And there are a lot of people who will unerringly vote for Trump for at least one overwhelming reason: He isn't Clinton, and more who will pull the lever for him because of his "shoot-from-the-hip-no-holds-barred" approach.
But there are real, honest to goodness morons out there who view the electoral process as a real choice: The much detested and reviled "Undecided" voters, and it is those voters the MSM hopes to program with their unending and unrelenting negative and derogatory "articles" about Trump.
Make no mistake: the MSM is liberal, mostly rabidly so, and by some accounts, by margins up to 85-95%. This is a course The Media would take anyway even if they thought they had no chance to sway any of those "undecided" pukes, simply because, like the scorpion in the famous parable with the frog, it is in their nature.
But there are these people who are "undecided" (Even as the fictional thought process reveals, they aren't, and are being constantly programmed to be less "undecided").
As unbelievable as it seems, as good or bad a candidate as Trump might be, and as HARD as it is hard to be FOR America and FOR Hillary Clinton at the same time, those people DO exist. You can close your eyes and nearly hear them wheedling "...I just can't decide...Hillary isn't a good candidate, she does have her flaws, and might have done some questionable things, but she is the basis for Obamacare, and I think it is time we had a woman as President...and I know Donald Trump has made a lot of money in business and says things as he sees them, but he is inexperienced according to the news, and the reports come out every day saying he doesn't know what he is doing, hates immigrants, and is emotionally unsuited to be President..."
As you can see, these people are clay being worked each and every day by The Media. In the "undecided" thought process above (which is no longer undecided for this person) you could boil their thought down to: "...I just can't decide...She is the basis for Obamacare, and I think it is time we had a woman as President...but he is inexperienced according to the news, and the reports come out every day saying he doesn't know what he is doing, hates immigrants, and is emotionally unsuited to be President..."
So with each passing day, The Media chips away at these people until, in their own minds (as feeble as they are) they are still the highly sought "Undecideds" who are wooed with flowers, promises, and attention, but, in reality, they have long ceased to be "undecided".
THOSE people are the ones being broken down by this process. I doubt Trump is, in his career, he is probably used to hearing people vilify him. And probably also used to hearing people underestimate him.

This may be my favorite display of TDS. It’s right up there with those who shriek that if Trump wins he has such a big ego he won’t allow any more elections.
And guess who is trying to help Trump along the way firing flaming arrows at him every chance they get? This is full on assault by the Establishment, the MSM, and the Left. Anyone that can withstand that deserves the job.
Tough for the Media, but there is no way Donald is going to bail at this point.
It would be like intending to construct a 50-story tall building but stopping at the 49th floor because he got tired.
The Media/Dems/GOPestablishment have been throwing everything at him since June 2015. It isn’t much different now, except that they actually have to make stuff up.
The real campaign doesn’t even really start until after Labor Day. We will have to see by then which of the two has staying power. Hillary has to take a few days off after nearly every ‘event’. Shades of Fred Thompson in 2008.
