U.S. actor and producer Robert De Niro said on Saturday that U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump should not run for president because he was "totally nuts".
Trump, a billionaire businessman seeking his first public office, has courted controversy with a string of inflammatory statements about his main opponent Hillary Clinton, guns, Mexicans, Muslims and war veterans, among others.
De Niro made the comments to a Sarajevo audience as he presented a digital version of Martin Scorsese's film "Taxi Driver", in which he starred, to mark its 40th anniversary.
"I don't know, it's crazy that people like Donald Trump ..., he shouldn't even be where he is, so God help us," De Niro said to wide applause in the Sarajevo National Theater.
“I will treasure this award — my Heart of Sarajevo — because I don’t think there is another city in the world that has shown such heart in the face of so much tragedy,” De Niro said at the ceremony.

De Niro doesn’t seem to know how, ahem, popular the Clintons are locally for bombing the Chinese embassy in Belgrade and generally taking the side of the Muslims over the Christians.
It’s always fun when a member of the liberal chorus forgets where he put the memo, and then starts singing from it a week after the press has moved on to a different talking point.
Yeah, maybe he should give himself a Mohawk and do something about it.

Even if true, I would take ‘totally nuts’ over ‘entirely corrupt’ any day.
“Fate” is mocking De Niro and his pals.
There’s no way, if they were the bosses of the world, Donald Trump should be where he is. I most thoroughly agree with De Niro about that. Trump is the quintessential applecart upset to them.
But they aren’t the bosses of the world. There’s a pesky God who won’t quite let the world have its way yet, which is wonderful because if it did get its way, it would posthaste run to hell.

Man, what is it with actors? They recite words someone else has written, while standing in front of a camera. I doubt they even know who they themselves are, at some point assuming the identity of the pretend people they play. And for this arcane and ultimately useless skill, we are supposed to give their opinions on real-world matters weight?! No.
Just because Trump doesn’t like Marxists, communists, anti-American freeloaders and Islamoterrorists, it doen’t make him “nuts”. Sorry Bobby, you’re just another in a long line of Hollywood weirdo celebrities who are FOS. You need to learn to be a little more tolerant of people who don’t think like you.
