Bryan Cranston, who played President Lyndon B. Johnson on Broadway and HBO, appeared on a civil rights panel Tuesday with 1960s-era activists and signed on to an anti-Donald Trump campaign with more than 100 other celebrities at the Democratic National Convention.
Cranston was joined by Julianne Moore, Kerry Washington, Mark Ruffalo, Neil Patrick Harris, Shonda Rhimes and Macklemore in calling on Americans to deny Trump the White House. It's part of MoveOn.org's "United Against Hate" effort.
The "Breaking Bad" star pledged his support for Hillary Clinton during the panel discussion, which touched on the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party's fight against the state's all-white delegation at the 1964 Democratic convention.

Trumbo is a lifelong Communist and America-hater, who led the red infiltration of Hollywood while America was giving away the shop to- and was later at war with- the Soviet Union. He got put in his place by Ronald Reagan, Olivia de Havilland, and a handful of other courageous actors while Reagan was still a Democrat. Trumbo even repudiated his own very famous "anti-war" novel Johnny Got His Gun under orders from Joe Stalin to can the peacenik stuff in June of 1941.

That doesn't mean you can't enjoy Breaking Bad. The writing is excellent, and since the performances were universally good, you can safely to assume it was all in the direction and teleplay.
