Holy smokes. I don't mean to be dramatic, but I just suffered a major meltdown. I do not know how or why. But I think I may be in trouble. What should I do?

I’m not pretending your situation is like mine, but thought I’d share anyway. I had a visual hallucination and partial blindness for maybe 20-60 sec, wasn’t stroke or anxiety related. The docs said it was probably a visual-only kind of migraine (aura)

Then see a doctor as soon as you can. Actually two relatives I have had the same thing happen. What happens is you go to the doctor, they order a lot of tests, some blood, some physical exam stuff, some that are like X-rays (which are important), to rule out really bad things. When the tests come back negative (very likely), they will say it was probably a transient ischemic attack, and give you pills to fix an underlying cause the tests indicate.
In a TIA, basically a little blood clot flowed through the blood up to your brain, and as the blood pathway branched off into narrower arterioles and capillaries, it blocked one, which cut off the blood supply to a small part of the brain. That part of your brain went a little hypoxic, not getting enough oxygen, and it was shut down, producing the weird hallucination.
After a small bit, the blockage broke free, flowed on, bloodflow was restored, and that part of the brain came back online and the symptom disappeared and you felt fine.
The problem is TIAs usually indicate a higher than normal possibility of a big stroke one day, so they are like the canary in the coal mine. You want to get on them and check them out so you don’t end up disabled by a real stroke in the coming weeks or months.
It is also important to see the doctor to make sure it wasn’t anything associated with bleeding (which it probably wasn’t, but you want to be sure). A blockage gets something like aspirin to thin blood, but a bleeding thing would get worse with such a therapy, so you need to differentiate them.
Of course it could have been a brain burp, not due to anything, like a little seizure that you will never see again. But you need to get it checked, and have the doctor tell you that.
I would not panic, or worry too much, but I would also get it checked out, the same way I would wear a seat belt.
Were you sitting for a long time in one position? What did you do within minutes of the attack? (get up suddenly, eat a massive meal, sneeze, see something that really worries/excites you, etc.)

Then it's possibly even uglier still and you need to get whatever is going on with you checked out "Right Now!", to paraphrase Trump.

Fwiw, I've been there done that a couple of times with no memory of what "that" was or what I did with the t-shirts.
All I got for that missing time was a headaches that lasted forever for the first one, a bizarrely surreal world for quite a while after the last one, some cool x-rays, a bunch MRIs and CAT scans and small, but very expensive, pile of receipts.
Also not kidding? A follow-up of some kind would be appreciated.
I didn't know about your earlier opus about this same thing just a few months ago.
Hopefully this entire stupid post will disappear soon. I slept very well last night and woke up feeling great. But I am the first to admit that sometimes I don’t work quite right. However, I have discovered that the cure is worse than the disease. My apologies.
Please, accept the concern and advice you've received here as being of the purest kind and of the highest value.
Stay open to how it's always possible that you've been misinformed about that cure vs disease thing.
That's all I've got. If I said anything more about seeking help, I'd be a hypocrite.
