Yes, thank god for the lack of protests. I didn’t watch the first 2 nights because I figured it would be a blood bath of “angry” never Trump people. Greatly relieved that it’s a non issue, hopefully to last the night.
I’ve been watching the show on CSPAN... and what a pleasure to watch the speeches without any talking heads trying to tell me what to think.

Wising up? Perhaps. Or, more likely IMO, the Soros groups have decided to back off instead of having more goings-on to bolster Trump’s law-and-order stance.

My theory is that the DNC called off the riots because they did not want to further aggravate the case against The Witch, which would have caused middle America to be further unlikely to vote for her. She is that bad of a candidate.
I think it’s a combination of things.
Wide security area set up. They want to harass the people going in and out of the convention, this way they can’t easily get to them.
Good police presence. I don’t remember any specific announcements, but I think they announced they were getting ready and would have plenty cops on hand.
Bikers for Trump probably has something to do with it too.
So far mostly small groups. Police can get in, clear then out and be done in short order with little fuss. They never gave the huge crowds a chance to assemble.
No telling what has been happening with Soros and the democrats, it could be that they came to their senses...not very likely, but possible...and realized a big riot would help Trump more than anything else they could do. So they pulled the money.
I’m waiting for the Democrat convention, I don’t think it will be as peaceful. It will certainly be more...aromatic...

I do have high hopes for the fart in at the Democratic National Convention.
