Oklahoma City Police released security camera footage on July 18, showing the fatal shooting of Miguel Angel Chavez-Angles on a public bus. Chavez-Angles, 42, was shot and killed on June 24 after throwing a fire extinguisher and trying to seize a gun from one of the officers on the metro bus. Oklahoma City Police said the officers were responding to a vandalism report and Chavez-Angles had fled to the bus after jumping into another vehicle.
“She is damned lucky she had back up. She screwed up.”
Watching the longer video, it appears all the passengers left the bus. Why would the driver not have left?
“Wait. I thought police only shot black people - that they are the KKK with badges. How can this be?”
He was a ‘brother’. He said the white cops were out to get him.
“What’s your problem with my statement, care to explain further?”
How about this! She made a stupid move. Didn’t coordinate with her backup and almost got them both killed.
Officers didn't know that....
Why rush on the bus with your gun out ?
Because you were in pursuit of an individual who was fleeing you and you did not know if he was armed or not. Once an individual attempts to flee arrest, all niceties are thrown out the window and the gloves come off!
The 3 jail guards who were supposed to be on the block all went to get breakfast, leaving the one female deputy on duty to get Nichols out of his cell alone. She was not POST certified because she had flunked the exam 3-4 times, she was almost 60 years old, and the second-hand info I got was that she was borderline "mentally challenged." The guy who was supposed to be monitoring the video cameras was not at his post.
Needless to say the county got sued by everybody involved. I know that the county settled with the judge's widow for over $5 million, once the issue of government immunity was dealt with.
To say nothing of painting the last passenger off the bus with the muzzle.

Actually she did, he was there at her back when the bum rush occurred........
There's only so many people who can mount the steps of a bus at one time let alone enter the aisle where the attack began.........

Actually, if you view the video, he is nowhere to be seen when she got rushed.
Hell...bullets probably exited the bus and no telling how many people were down range. VERY lucky this ended happily.
