Putin is in a strong position, he has evacuated Russians from Turkey, stopped travel and most trade. Loss of trade and tourism hurts Turkey significantly more than Russia (add in current purge and blood in streets makes it even worse), Russian Air is still free to slaughter ISIS, Turkmen, Syrian "Rebels" and ISIS stolen oil transport, Turkey will be cut out of Israel's East Med oil fields.
Erd better think of something to offer Putin, as most Russians are safe and that's Putin's primary concern.
Erd's primary goal (restoration of the Caliphate) is whoppingly anti Russian so he better lie well.
Rumor has it that this was Erdogan’s plot from the beginning. Designed to fail. I wouldn’t doubt he had complicity with someone outside.
