Sorry to disagree but as a military force they are borderline worthless. Although somewhat ruthless they arent very effective against a trained fighting force. ISIS could be wiped but it will take more than the Foreign Legion.They did well against Al Qaeda fighters in Mali (Operation Serval). ISIS fighters are not any more disciplined or trained than Al Quaeda.

I tend to agree with you. I am not an expert on FFL but I have read extensively about the FFL over the decades and some of their individual military unit heroism is just astounding.
I’ve never read anything “specific” and “factual” that was negative about them. And, I’m speaking of their fighting prowess.
