The wife can wash the car and change the oil. I’ll do the dishes.

Dishes need to be washed at least once a day sometimes as many as three times a day.

The car needs to be washed once a week and the oil changed every three months.

Stick with the car and oil dude.

LOL! You are right! I will have to put some pics of our yard and pond...tons of trees. I need to count my blessings....

I should have said that my husband had double bypass surgery, so both emotionally and physically it has been a strange year.

Take care!

Julie

Why is marriage a good deal? Hmmmm... I guess I can only answer from personal experience as my husband and I celebrate 30 years together.

It’s caring less what the outside world thinks and caring more what your spouse thinks. When he lost his job three times, it was being by his side in solid support. Its him telling me I am as beautiful as the day we met .It’s knowing he will have his quirks and loving him for those things-as he does for me. It’s not treating sex like a commodity to be traded and counted as a chore, but as a means to express love. Plus, it’s fun!! It’s raising a child and seeing him about to be married and teaching him never, ever to forget the romance of it all. Its knowing that men want to be admired and women’ want to be desired.
That out of seven billion people in the world, there is one who thinks you’re the most amazing person on earth. Now who wouldn’t work hard to treat a person like that with sheer, unbridled devotion!?!

Used to be a good deal.

Until lawyers realized they could make a lot of money on divorce. They pushed for no fault divorce.

Then they got unconstitutional “family” courts set up. Now lawyers and judges and judge required experts rake in over 50 billion dollars every year.

Watch the free documentary Divorce Corp. Its unbelievable.

Maybe the people who did this study were just trying to get their husbands to do more chores with these results ;)
Sure it sounds crazy, but I’ve seen some really weird things people do to avoid doing housework.

why marriage is a good deal?

It's all about finding the right woman. There are still good ones out there. I got very lucky the second time around and can honestly say it's much better than being single and much, much better than being married to a bitch like my first wife. Did I mention that my first wife was a bitch?

Sex? Well, if you’re a man you’ll pay for it one way or another.

A new study, "The Gendered Division of Housework and Couples' Sexual Relationships: A Reexamination" looks at the sex lives of three types of heterosexual couples: conventional (the woman does 65 percent or more of the housework), egalitarian (the male partner performs 35-65 percent of the housework) and counterconventional (the man performs 65 percent or more of the housework).

I have to question what their definition of housework is. Did they include all chores, or just the traditionally female chores?

This woman didn’t get married in order to get a “good deal”, so I can’t help you.

But, apparently, it’s much more fun to just whine about the whole thing.

Yep, in our home, I do all the housework, and my dear husband does all of the icky boy stuff. He never has to worry about doing laundry, and I never have to worry about maintaining my car.

And, unlike so many of these whiners, we don’t keep score.

Housework is automated, hence minimal. Some people are just nit pic and want super clean, dust free. Let them clean it.

Lefty media strawman.
