For DFW Freepers, has anyone heard John Wiley Price say anything about the murders of these police officers? He usually has to have his opinion about all things race be front and center, but I haven't heard a peep. Maybe I just haven't noticed, but he seems to be laying low for once. I cannot imagine him being silent if the races were reversed.
I think he knows that he will have plenty of time to think about this from behind bars, soon.
His trial’s been postponed until February. I can only surmise that a pardon from Obama wasn’t in the offing.
I was wondering the same thing. I figured he’d be front & center.
Soon? He's already received several years-long continuance for every court trial appearance that he's asked for. This could go on forever.
His bosses at the Citizen’s Council probably haven’t given him permission to speak.
Maybe by keeping quiet he is maneuvering for one.
On the political front the most discouraging aspect of Mr. Price’s dilemma is that he is running (again!) for the county commissioner seat he’s held for way too long. And he will most likely win! Truly unbelievable and, in part, another reason for the current race disaster we are witnessing at present.
He used to have a nightly political show with Aaron Michaels, the founder of the New Black Panthers, during the Nineteen Nineties. Dallas had hired a new police chief without getting Price’s approval and he suggested on his radio show that his listeners could go to highway overpasses and shoot cops, then rush back in their neighborhoods without being caught.
I had been recording the inflammatory rhetoric on his radio shows and had this on tape. I went to the FBI with the information about the police sniping comments and was told not to worry, they were “watching” him.
He has already won, I believe. Since his “district” or whatever it is called is almost 100% democrat, the real election was in the primary.
I was hoping against hope that Dwaine Caraway would beat him. I like Dwaine, he’s a real character.
Dave Fox, the former county judge and founder of Fox & Jacobs, gave Price his start in Dallas politics.
Bet his attorney told him to lay low.
I’ve heard nothing, but his criminal indictment may be keeping him quiet to avoid potential problems.
Nope. I am on vacay this week and have been catching a lot of the local AM yakety-yak and haven’t heard his name once.
He be minden he biz...
.
JWP is under indictment on multiple Federal charges. He hasn’t said *anything* since the indictment, despite much provocation. Apparently he has a very smart lawyer who has gotten the message through that he needs to shut up.
Yea I have heard him on the Ticket a few times and that guy is a trip.
BTW remember a few years ago when his old lady was running for Congress against EBJ and they were called to his house because she was chasing around with a meat cleaver, LOLOLOLOLOL.
Sad but true. However, it his highly unlikely he will prevail in his case. The lesser defendants in the bribery/corruption case have been convicted already. The last one earlier this year. Testimony from those proceedings were very damning to Mr. Price. He is the only domino left standing for now.
