Crank phone calls should be a part of every boy’s development.

Girls, too. I learned to imitate our housemother's voice perfectly and would call the other girls whom I knew had hidden liquor in their dorm rooms.

I listened for 15 years, met him once or twice, emailed a bunch years ago, they don’t make Americans any better. What a loss. Godspeed Tom, may they play Europa on continuous loop in heaven. We’ll miss you greatly. Well done.

I would have considered it an honor to be rejected by you.

Aww... don’t kid a kidder, if you know what I’m saying to you!

I could just “hear” your antics as you described them, and the India one cracked me up totally!

When Tom subbed for Mark, I was never dissapointed unlike I was with all the other subs. Ton was so good I started to listen to his own show in Baltimore. He also followed Free Republic and would give Biggirl shutouts on air. And Tom said very early on he would proudly to pull the lever for Donald Trump.

They stuffed him with Susan Bray, sho spoke with an combination of a MidAtlantic and Aussie accent. It was OK for a while, then, as you said they started having on doctors selling products and it was really weird. Then he and Susan were replaced by Kent Voss, whom I would crank call from time to time.

One day, I heard Sid Mark, of Friday With Frank fame, say something like "It's funny, I went to high school with Susan in Camden, and she never talked with that accent..." Which was not true, so I don't know why he said it.

With Tom's passing, so goes a small, but important piece of America...

Up front I’m not a physician, but I know there are a couple kinds of strokes (lack of adequate oxygen supply to a portion of the brain) - most are caused by blood clots, but about fifteen percent are caused by excessive bleeding (usually from a burst blood vessel) - blood thinners as one might expect when inappropriately used can have the negative side effect of causing uncontrolled bleeding, usually in the digestive track - when my wife had hip-replacement surgery about fifteen years ago she was placed on the thinner Coumadin for awhile and I remember how concerned the physicians were that she always get the precise dosage and how closely she was monitored to make sure she had no ill-effects from the medication - they took off of it as soon as they felt she was beyond real danger of clots from the surgery - my comment was kind of facetious, but the story reminded me of a friend from my high school class of sixty years ago who had an appendectomy a few years ago and within a couple of days ended up in a nursing home with a stroke - while the stroke probably results from a clot aftereffect of the surgery, I’m always a bit suspicious, especially after what would seem to be a fairly routine surgical procedure, that it could result from one more medical misadventure with medication gone wild - just something to think about I guess...

Interesting. Anything can happen at any time when it comes to surgery.

So sad for Tom Marr’s family. I will miss his daily show. That station, where all the conservative shows are broadcast, is one of my radio pre-set buttons.

Boy, I must not have listened to radio at all yesterday!

Woke up this morning to CBM hearing this.

Cannot believe he was only 73!

So sad. God bless.

I recall hearing Marr occasionally years ago - maybe he had a regular show in the Philly area or subbed for Rush at times - seemed like a solid guy - I’m old enough to remember when about the only acknowledged conservative voice on air was pretty much William F. Buckley - many conservatives don’t realize the relative media Nirvana they have today with the various outlets and formats available - still to lose even one good man like Marr hurts, especially at the relatively early age at which he left.....

Sorry this is late, but this is Biggirl, the one who posts the Mark Levin Show Thread. Thank-you Tom for all the memories, when you subbed for Mark Levin and when my mid-morning talk radio show host Jim Vicevich is off, I would go to WCBM AM to listen to your program. Thank-you for all that you did, condolences and prayers to the Marr family. This last Grey Goose is for you! :( =^..^= Tom Marr photo: Tom Marr TomMarr.jpg Tom Marr Of WCBM AM, Baltimore, MD, RIP.
