Chicago Criminals’ Favorite Gunmakers: A Visual Ranking
The Trace ^ | January 6, 2016 | SARAH KOLLMORGEN

Despite having some of the toughest gun regulations of any city in the country, Chicago continues to record thousands of shootings per year. As President Obama has pointed out, that isn’t a failing of the city’s gun laws. The problem is that most of the guns used in crimes in Chicago come from neighboring states with lax gun laws. A study released last year by the city found that almost 60 percent of firearms recovered at Chicago crime scenes were first bought in states that do not require background checks for Internet or gun show sales, like neighboring Indiana and Wisconsin. Of the remaining crime guns, nearly half were purchased at three gun shops just outside the city.

No FNH either. My two faves.

I read an article long ago by a LEO who stated that most criminal guns don’t even work.

The criminal loads them with incorrect bullets, loads them backwards, never shoots them and some are painted with spray cans and nail polish.

Primers that are deactivated, dented brass and such disrepair that slide catches don’t work and mechanisms are cracked. Some have reported ill-fitting magazines taped into the grip.

I spoke to a friend of mine who was an ex Latin Kings enforcer. He reports much the same thing. He says “These niggas don’t give a shit about what they are carrying, only that they are carrying. They have no clue what the gun is, what the ammo is or if it even works. The only thing that is important is that they have a gun, people see it and they whip it out whenever someone turns on a video camera and starts to rap”

I’m surprised to see so many M&Ps in this mix. The glock is usually stolen from a beaten up police officer - which happens more than people admit.

The Kings had a few people in each region who were squeaky clean and respectable. Their job was to go shopping. They are paid very well to buy the guns and hand them off to the users. Most of the time they would “outlive their usefulness” and be eliminated after buying the guns and stuff.

You are on to something there, sorta. If white people are the bane of these BLM-types existence then perhaps all weapons should be produced white instead of black and the gangs-of-color will avoid them at all cost. What BLM-type would be caught dead with a white assault pistol. Perhaps, overnight the murder by gun rate will fall to zero. However, all guns currently in public and private hands will have to be colorized white in order to not be a target for thieves. It’s a thought. Not a good one, but a thought. :)

Pity and a damn shame, guess they’ll rescind those useless and ineffective ‘laws’ then, no?

Thank goodness our Right is re-affirmed (doesn’t NEED to be at its inalienable) by the phrase “...shall not be infringed.”

Each time I have purchased a gun either at a Gun show or internet there was a background check that ran through BATF.

...states that do not require background checks for Internet ...

The only way you can buy a gun on the internet without a background check is to buy it from someone like Trayvon Martin.

It's a Federal law that covers all states that all sales through licensed dealers must conduct a NICS background check.
