Robot-Powered Burger Joint Makes a Beeline For Bay Area
NBC Bay Area ^ | Jul 2, 2016

Move over, humans. A robot-operated restaurant is heading to the Bay Area.

Momentum Machines, a San Francisco-based startup, plans to launch a burger joint where fare is cooked, seasoned and wrapped by robots, Tech Insider reported.

The still unnamed restaurant will utilize what Momentum Machines built in 2012 — a machine that could churn out 400 burgers in an hour. The innovative appliance includes a stamper that grinds and stamps custom blends of meat, a vegetable slicer, an oven to toast the meat and bun, and a bagger to wrap the complete product.

Images released by the company show the machine “completely replaces all the sandwich labor in a restaurant.”

A Craigslist job ad that Momentum Machines posted about a month ago said that the restaurant will open at 680 Folsom Street. The ad described the burgers as “fresh-ground and grilled to order, served on toasted brioche, and accented by an infinitely personalizable variety of fresh produce, seasonings, and sauces.”

Momentum Machines was founded in 2009 by a group of engineers who wanted to bring together their love for food, technology and machines.

You may be right-and it is a GOOD thing-I’d just love to watch San Fran’s underskilled and overindulged burger flippers go from “Fight for $15” to “Clean Toilets or Starve”-all because a robot can do their job faster, better and it doesn’t demand a higher minimum wage...

If they’re smart, they will attempt to emulate the humans at Chick fil A. That would be an excellent role model.

To me, the liberals don’t seem to understand, or don’t care about, the consequences of the fight for $15, and constantly wanting the minimum wage increased.

They either don’t understand, or don’t care, that businesses don’t have some unlimited pool of money to pay ever increasing costs of doing business, such as increases in labor costs.

And the liberals don’t understand, or don’t care, that some jobs and tasks in a business, just aren’t worth it to pay someone $15 an hour to do. We’ve seen past increase in minimum wage rates case job losses. But the liberals either don’t care or think these job losses happened for some other reason. Either way, the liberals thought processes and reasoning abilities seem impaired. If they can’t grasp some simple concepts, how can they want us to elect them to run this country???

perhaps all hope is not lost for liberals. I see people waiting for blocks and blocks in Manhattan. They can’t all be conservative. That means Liberals are still willing to forgo there beliefs for a good sandwich.

Check it out here. Quick 30-second video. Not sure this is the same machine talked about here but you can bet that it's coming to a burger joint near you. These robots will just get better, faster and more efficient.

Here it is , pretty cute. I guess those high priced entry level jobs will be unnecessary. That is a couple hundred thousand Illegal Aliens just in Los Angeles poised to lose their jobs.

Sounds like an Asian Language.

Maybe it's Chinese.

If those Robot Cooks step out of line. I'll melt them into slag.

I've got my eyes on them.
