Brit Exit for a Dummy

Posted on 06/24/2016 3:19:39 AM PDT by CGASMIA68

Not at all up to speed on this. I am sure there are many here that are. Will those in the know provide a brief run down or links as to they whys and wherefore.

News is biased to either side.

I do like Trumps responses and it clarifies things a bit for me. Not sure how and why it all came about?

1) The British people rejected the Globalists and want the Muslim invasion to stop.

2) The Globalists will punish the British people economically for a while, but it won't last.

Basically, Obama, Hillary and Soros strongly support Britain staying in the EU, so THAT alone tells me (and hopefully the British citizens) they need to GTFO!

Obama even threatened them over it.
He is an evil man.

Thanks,
Makes Trumps statement have even more meaning.

Looks like November will be a US detour from same path the Brits just took

A friend of mine who lives in England told me the reason lots of Brits want to Leave the EU is because they are slowly losing their sovereign power. He explained that if the UN had the same power as the EU the UN could pass a law that says no weapons/guns of any kind could be sold to citizens in the USA and unless our reps to the UN could get 14 other member’s reps to vote such down in UN council we would have to abide by that law.

You will put journalists out of business with that concise report.

I am of the opinion that this is Satan’s time, so these push-backs will be temporary, but yes ... this was a win.

The best explanation I’ve heard as to why British people, and why so many people are against all the nannying, is here:

They were in a hole.

They stopped digging.

In the US, we now have a chance to stop digging.

Some have complained about the overbearing nature of the EU for quite some time now.

Funny, I went to google an article I had read about that in a college course in the 1990s, and found... my own post. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2899476/posts?page=41#41

There has to be a point, eventually, when even many of those who initially cheer at authoritarian decrees on the basis that people don’t know what’s best for themselves realize that the resulting loss of freedom affects them, too.

I can't find it now, but there was a news item out about a week ago saying that EU bureaucrats were considering regulating teapots (yes, teapots) because teapots contributed to climate change.

If that didn't shake up the average Brit, I don't know what would.

Was listening this morning to a British commentator reporting on the demographic breakdown of the vote. He said that the urban areas (e.g., London) to a great extent had voted to stay in the EU, while the rural areas wanted out. He’d interviewed some Londoners, who said they didn’t understand the attitudes of those “country bumpkins” who didn’t want the EU.

Sounds a bit like this side of the pond and our urban elite’s attitudes toward Trump!

Have a look at the EU government in Brussels sometime. Their legislative executive (not a typo) is the Commission, consisting of all unelected bureaucrats that swear an oath of loyalty to the EU, and have the power to both write and pass laws. The EU’s parliament, although elected, cannot write a single law, but just votes up or down on what the Commission feeds them (i.e. it’s a rubber stamp “toy parliament”). No separation of powers there.
