So the dogs will end up starving in the streets.

Not a dog. Not a cat. But as intelligent as a dog or cat.

Chinese eat millions of them a year. Americans also kill millions of them a year.

Third most abandoned animal at shelters, behind dogs and cats.

Think whats up doc.

I was serious about the lithium. You need to check with your doctor first. Um, your doctor isn’t a rabbit, is he?

That photo was taken just before somebody bashed his head against the wall.

So are cows, fish and hogs less sacred? I’ll never understand the humanizing of pets. They are animals. They are not children. It is disturbing to me that some would step over a human being to save a dog.

> How can anyone with a human heart beating within their breast so cavalierly dismiss such horrific cruelty?

Wait for the next article on torture policy to come up and you’ll find that many not only cavalierly dismiss it but will stand up and cheer for it to the point of exhaustion.

As I get older I am realizing that respect for the miracle of life and the ethic of empathy and decency that flows from it is the exception, not the rule.

I want to string up all the people who do this by their thumbs and let them die a slow miserable death after giving them a 1000 paper cuts then spray rubbing alcohol on them so they suffer while they die slow.

Then just before they die, heal them up for a few days, then do it all over again. Basically just keep doing that over and over and over again until they die before they can be healed again.

On average; dogs are much better company than people. Smarter than a lot of ‘em too.

I must respectively disagree with you. Making such a statement, doesn’t really say much about you. Now, that’s just my opinion. Don’t get upset by it.

It’s bad enough they kill all those dogs, but why do the sick bast***s have to torture them?

I believe they like the taste of adrenaline. Causing pain to the animal just before slaughter gets the meat saturated with the adrenaline flavor.

and I'm not saying that I approve of this or think it's a good idea, just explaining.

This is the same reason you always want a good, clean, quick kill when you hunt. Americans definitely do not want their meat tainted with that flavor.

Have a friend from China. She goes back and forth to China and the US. She told me the other day, her family—something like six living at home in China—noticed their neighbors had eaten their two dogs.

I’m not against people eating dog but you’re right, they shouldn’t be tortured in the process.

“With Lolo, I learned how to eat small green chili peppers raw with dinner (plenty of rice), and, away from the dinner table, I was introduced to dog meat (tough), snake meat (tougher), and roasted grasshopper (crunchy),”
