Update: WBRZ speaks to the mother who was arrested for allegedly whipping her sons after they burglarized a house. Schaquana Evita Spears says someone saw her story on TV and showed up to post her bond.
"They're just being kids, being followers," Spears said. "I thought I was showing them this is not what you do. You do not steal peoples stuff, what they work hard for. I know how that feels, I've had my house broken into."

Why?
He did something tremendously wrong. A few lashes is nothing. He may end up dead otherwise, probably by his own “peeps”.
Compared to Aidrian Peterson whaling on a 4yo for getting in the way, that’s nothing.
“cord marks vs. a future life sentence in prison or dead”
Plus what would have happened to them if the owners came home and caught them? What condition would they be in then?
I guess being shot and killed by the homeowner for invading their home is the preferred alternative of the liberal CPS types. God forbid that children are actually punished for wrong-doing by the parent, and not by the state.
Cuts from a speaker cable hurt a lot less that a shotgun blast, which is what they’re gonna get eventually.
My mother heard about it, and the next time they were together, she grabbed his arm, pulled him close until their faces were only inches away, and hissed at him "If you have say anything like that to your parents again, I am going to show you what REAL child abuse is."
When we were kids, my dad terrified us when he disciplined us, but it was all psychological...he would growl at us in a low voice and snap his folded belt as he walked up the stairs, but he really wouldn't physically hurt a fly. And the most profane thing he would say was to call us a "dumb bunny". We laugh today when we remember it. When he talked, we listened. If he said to us "Do you understand?" and we insolently replied "Yes", he would advance at us menacingly, speaking in a very low, growling voice, and say "Yes...WHAT?" to which we would respond "Yes SIR." Being a naval officer, I think that was somewhat ingrained with him. My father was no martinet, by any means, but he WAS very specific about manners and politeness growing up, and insisted that we call any adult male "Sir" and any adult female "Ma'am", and if we didn't, he didn't let it slide and would call us on the carpet immediately.
My mom, on the other hand, was a crazy mix of Armenian and Italian, and when she got angry and nearly hysterical, she wasn't messing around with that belt. She gave us welts, and it hurt.
How I miss them both. Six kids, dad away at sea...how she maintained her sanity, I will never know. They were two parents trying hard to stay together (they did) and raise a family.
I just can't find it in myself to condemn this woman. A lot of people in her situation/community have just given up and let their kids go feral. As others have said, it just might end up saving them.
But the fact they ratted her out indicates her effort might be in vain.
They now know mama can’t touch them so they can do what they want. They likely won’t live to see their next birthday.
Maybe no strong male, maybe a sperm donor, baby daddy or mom's boyfriend but no real father.
Hey, that’s pretty good.
Innocent!
“I think there’s a happy medium between doing nothing and this:”
Yeah, she should have used something that didn’t leave a mark.
Yes, and I would say she went overboard except for what they did could have resulted in their deaths. It was not just poor judgment, like talking your kid sister into riding the bike you equipped with cardboard wings off the garage roof.
This was something he knew was a big time wrong. And he not only did it but took his younger sibs along with him.
I would like to think I would not react that way.
But then I do not live in a world where kids burglarize homes where they might end up being legally shot.
Exactly! Next house could have an armed homeowner that won’t take kindly to them coming in through the bathroom window...
I’m not worried anymore. Almost everyone who is opposed to spanking children and getting this wretched, evil behavior we are immersed in are going to end up paying...with their lives. That will include the children and all adults involved. God is going to see to it unless folks repent and turn around and I don’t see that happening any time soon.
...getting it STOPPED....
Yes, I see your point. However, it doesn’t seem likely that one beating would turn a young thug’s life around ... even if she hadn’t been arrested.
