Posted on 06/19/2016 4:05:39 PM PDT by ameribbean expat

This could be a great short term or long term rental solution for you. The vans will sleep one or two people. They are spotless and new. I can park them anywhere you would like.

Live outside and take the BART in.

The BART is pretty cost-effective.

That’s still $900+ a month, and no bathroom.

If done right, a van can actually make a decent portable home. It requires a lot of planning, but I’ve seen some nice alternative homes from them.

The Speaker of the US House of Representatives sleeps in his office, so maybe this could be an option for him.

The NWO Agenda 21 supporters prefer renovated dumpsters. Easier to stack and can be smaller in size. They're probably thinking of how coffins could be retrofitted with air conditioning units and used as sleeping spaces so people can just sleep in them then get up to go do their required government volunteer time to rent them. This will be during the the new age when regular citizens will not be permitted to own land unless you are of the political caste.../s

Don’t let the popo catch you sleeping in it!

What?

You can sleep on the street in San Fran but not in a vehicle?

There are a couple of motels in our area that allow a limited number of monthly rentals for $500 a month. Includes weekly maid service, a restaurant, laundry service, pool, small refrigerator, tiny microwave, free internet and cable TV. Beach within easy walking distance. For someone who could tolerate a small space, not a bad deal. And it’s not in California!

I live in the DC area and there are a few of these Motels here as well.

I have been under the impression that the residents are trying to transition from being homeless and the cost is subsidized by the Gov’t.

If you head east on New York Ave just before the MD line there are some there. Also, there are a number of these Motels near Laurel MD that advertise weekly and monthly rates. And on Rt 1 just outside the Beltway in Alexandria VA there are a lot of “Long term” Motels.

Interesting. I don’t think I’d want to live on New York Avenue, though. It’s up and coming, but still scary. There is a new Mom’s grocery store near the Hecht Company warehouse I tried once. Got right back in my car, believe me. I parked on a nearby side street and was being studiously watched by three unsavory looking characters. As for Laurel...I was a young woman there, but now? Wouldn’t want to live there. Just not safe.

The two I’ve heard of in our area are not subsidized by anyone. Sounds like a great option for a single senior. One of them even includes a limited work out room. No worry about taxes, insurance, lawn care, bad neighbors probably don’t stay long, etc.

I literally just drove past the old Hecht co warehouse less than an hour ago.

Years ago, I used to make regular deliveries there. It’s a prime piece of real estate that is just begging to be converted.

And when the dumpsters are full - make their contents into food...
