Consider this before you buy a new car or truck...

Posted on 06/14/2016 3:32:08 PM PDT by Tazzo

Buying a car or truck built in the USA, by members of the UAW, is a financial contribution to Clinton and other democrat candidates.

The United Auto Workers (UAW) financially support ONLY democrat candidates.

Do you want YOUR money supporting democrats?

While the union itself does, it doesn’t mean the rank & file do.

After selling my 2010 Jetta at a huge loss, I changed tact. I will only be buying used cars. I bought a 2001 Lincoln for $2300 with 154k miles. It has cold air, looks great and gets 21mpg average. For work I bought a 1992 Suburban for $2800. In both cases, I put a few hundred in parts into them and they are reliable, good transportation. Most importantly, I can work on them. Most new cars don’t even have a dipstick for the transmission. They are full of dealer only parts. Forget about diagnosing problems without buying lots of equipment. The ownership costs of new cars and the depreciation make them the worst deals going.

This is the 4th Titan I have owned. I walked away from Ford several years ago. Their engineering and innovations were way behind the curve.

All GM products are off my buy-list... forever — a personal vendetta from the late 80s when GM ripped me off.

They wave the American flag in your face with one hand while they are slipping their other hand behind your back and picking your pocket.

For the last 30 years, I bought cars made in America by non-union American workers. I have no complaints about the quality and value of the Toyotas, Subarus and (recent splurge) BMWs that I have greatly enjoyed.

If someone offered me a free GM car, I would refuse for many reasons.

I will never buy any car new or used that was touched by the UAW. I would look for a Japanese brand built in the USA by non-union workers. My Ford was built in Mexico, but the UAW did not touch it.
