David Duke defends Trump, blames Jews for judge criticism
Politico ^ | 6/09/2016 | Nick Gass

Former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke defended Donald Trump on his radio show earlier this week from criticism of his comments about Judge Gonzalo Curiel, blaming "the Jews" in the media for propagating a long-running negative agenda against the presumptive Republican nominee.

The white supremacist radio host dropped the names of Fox News' Chris Wallace, along with Jake Tapper and Wolf Blitzer on CNN, who Duke said he had "exposed ... as a Jewish agent." Jeff Zucker, the current president of CNN Worldwide, is "another Jewish extremist," he remarked.

“I wonder how much Soros paid Duke for his 2cents now? I just don’t trust anything much anymore. My tinfoil is bought by the case now!”

Maybe I can spare you a little tinfoil on this one. David Duke has an entrenched history of jumping in front of the parade in order to pretend he is leading it. He crashed an event with Pat Buchanan many years ago when I would have had the opportunity to meet Mr. Buchanan but for this boor’s crashing the party, which resulted in all meetings be cancelled in order to avoid Duke. Duke was never much to start with, is a long spent force, and is utterly irrelevant except for lame attempts like this at guilt by association. Soros didn’t have to pay Duke anything. This is classic Duke MO.

So Politico finds David Duke's opinion newsworthy?

Funny how the people that cry about Duke the most (the media, the Left) are the only ones that ever seem to care about or mention what he says.

I think Trump better do what he does best....tell Duke in no uncertain terms what he thinks of him and remove himself as far as he can from him.

“tell Duke in no uncertain terms what he thinks of him and remove himself as far as he can from him.”

Or double down on duke and say that if Hillary coddles LaRaza, he would want Duke. Triple down and increment, if necessary. /s

No, it is classic MSM. Why is Duke's opinion about anything relevant or newsworthy? Do I need to state the obvious?

If David Duke supported Trump, he would shut up or even denounce him a Zionist puppet. Like the Westboro Baptist group, I must wonder if he is a paid operative for the Left. It would not surprise me if it were shown that Duke is funded by the Southern Poverty Law Center or a like organization.

Duke's constituency is minimal numerically. However, he has successfully branded himself as perhaps the best known white separatist and anti-Semite in America. Therefore, he can be used as a weapon, for it can be said that if David Duke likes it, it must be bad.

It is the liberal MSM that uses him against the Reps. They have made him a celebrity. Duke is only a weapon if we allow him to be. Reps should not even respond to MSM questions about what he has to say. They just legitimize him.

The statement is a few days old, and unfortunately has gotten quite a bit of coverage, though mostly on the internet. Doesn't seem to be getting much traction amongst Trump supporters, the comments on most sites, even the couple mainstream sites, are mostly negative. Negative about Duke, not Trump.

"He has been an activist in La Raza Lawyers Association. La Raza," Duke said, repeating the first two words of the group, which is not associated with the National Council of La Raza.

The notion that La Raza Lawyers association is not associated with the National Council of La Raza is as far fetched as the notion that La Raza generally is not a pro-Mexican group.

The reason that we hear about David Duke defending Trump is because there are so few Republican leaders who are defending Trump. And, not only that, those same Republican leaders are ordering Trump to quit defending himself.

Yesterday was a disaster. Trump was getting trashed by the president, the vice-president, the Senator from Massachusetts and by the Clintons. No one defended Trump and he wasn't defending himself.

I have never seen anything like it. Trump needs to fight back because the GOP will not lift a finger to defend him.
