To be fair, she had good fundamentals (Futurama reference). All joking aside, she had far more skill than I did. By a ton.
But I was 6’4” and 195 (now 170). Her superior skills just did not matter.

Back in the stoneage when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, Jimmy Carter was president I didn’t have bad knees I was a ranked Triathlete. When you start racing bicycles - as a male - your first goal is simply to out run the girls on the bike.
A rider with fair bike handling and in moderate shape can generally out run a top female rider.
I felt pretty good on the bike until one year I helped pace riders on the Race Across America. I, and three other guys met up with Lon Haldemon outside of Amarillo. He’d been on the bike since Santa Monica and already crossed the Sierra Nevada’s, Rockies and high plains. We were supposed to pace him but the man drug us to death. Talk about an animal!
That whole Billy Jean King thing was a farce.
Riggs totally destroyed Margaret Court who was the number one player in the world. There is no way King would have played him unless she knew it was fixed.
I have a book by Rod Laver. He flat out said the game was rigged.
It’s really going to piss a lot of women athletes off, especially the dykish ones, when all women’s teams are made up of men who feel like women. (I mean “feel” as in emotions.) Saying they feel like men won’t cut it.
The game with Riggs was rigged.
Yeah, Riggs was so well known as a con artist that I sometimes wonder if that is where the word came from.

And let there be no doubt that the same would happen to the poor underpaid US women’s team. In fact it already has, we just don’t hear about it (guess why).

Was the U-14 game no checking as well?
They need some people why ‘identify’ properly if they want to compete against men.

I was never in that league. I can’t swim well - or at least not fast. I always had to make up too much time coming out of the water.
Ranked - like a 25th round draft pick in High Single Baseball not ranked as in Clayton Kershaw
U14 game against the girls was no checking. We tried to scrimmage the U14 vs U16 boys. U16 are bigger, faster and stronger. At that age the 2 year difference (worse if you have a kid born in January of 02 up against a kid who is December of 04) matters.
No one tell the new miss America, her Washington DC created politically correct bubble will be shattered.
