Deerfield Man Loses Big at Casino; Loses Bigger After Rendezvous With woman

Double doozy: Deerfield man lost $25,000 gambling & had $30,000 cash stolen by woman he picked up at casino

After a night of gambling and a rendezvous with a sexy young woman he took home from the casino, a Deerfield Beach welder suffered a $55,000 double-doozy loss, according to a sheriff's office incident report.

Guy Paul, 52, was gambling in the High Limit Room at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood when an orange-haired woman wearing a leopard-print dress caught his eye, the report said.

She went by "Dana" and together they spent about 90 minutes drinking liquor and gambling.

When Paul's gambling losses peaked at $25,000, he called it quits about 4 a.m. and invited the woman to his home in the 1300 block of Southwest 29th Avenue, the report said.

Once there they had sex, he paid her and they went to sleep, according to the report.

When Paul awoke about two hours later, "Dana" was gone and so was five-years-worth of savings — $30,000 cash in $100 bills was missing from a bedroom dresser drawer.

Despite two messages left on Paul's cell phone, he could not be reached for comment Friday.

After realizing the $30,000 had been swiped, Paul jumped into his truck and drove around the neighborhood hoping to spot "Dana." He called her cellphone and got no answer. Next, he phoned the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Paul described "Dana" as about 26 years old, 5'9" and 140 pounds. She wore her hair in an orange shoulder-length weave and sported a leopard-print dress, Paul told investigators.

He was "positive that the money was in the drawer when he returned home with Dana, because he paid Dana for her services from the money in his drawer before they went to sleep," the report said.

The fact that he reported it shows what an idiot he is.

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence wouldn’t want this humiliation known.

A disconnected number, if it is a subscriber number and not a throw away phone, can be backtracked to whoever registered and paid for it.

Yes, if the number was actually hers in the first place, and given this schnook, I doubt it.

You have to love a country where someone as stupid as this can accumulate $55,000.

That's a great point, never thought of that. :)

Welding must be an amazing career path, if one can be completely brain-dead and yet amass tens of thousands of dollars.

He is a complete idiot. Drunk, rude, steals food to take home from comps. Yells at dealers, cheap, no way he paid her. She deserved at least 30k for her time!!! Probably didn't remember anything and thought he could lie his way back into the supposed retirement fund. What a hoot!! No way he left 30k at home. Should have put in ceiling like before but wait, he fell off a chair trying to get at it plus one time 30k was stolen by a guard from his trunk leaving the casino...Guy Paul what Karma. He's a drunk who acts like he's a great welder. I love the comment about welding the money in a safe....He doesn't know how. Get the serial numbers from the banks where he got supposed retirement money. Retire from what?? Geezer, watch Forensic Files or something. You should have returned the property you stole. Passport, computer and car. Dirtbag. Dumber than Dumb.

I know its not the same place, but I had my first trip to Vegas last year and man I couldn’t believe how many hookers were about and how open it all was. More surreal place I’ve ever been, my first trip to the US also.
