Limbaugh conducts experiment on Trump fans: ‘This is exactly what I was expecting’
Washington Times ^ | May 11, 2016 | Douglas Ernst

Radio host Rush Limbaugh used Wednesday’s show to do an experiment on Donald Trump’s supporters.

“I found a YouTube last night, and I’m gonna play this for you, and I’m curious to know how Trump supporters react to this,” Mr. Limbaugh told his audience before playing a 2012 clip from Fox News’ “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”

Mr. Trump said at the time that he thought Hillary Clinton was a “terrific person.” He also called former President Bill Clinton a “really good guy.”

Mr. Limbaugh then used his email account to gauge reactions to the broadcast by the billionaire’s supporters. He also asked listeners to weigh in on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

“This is exactly what I was expecting,” the host said after a commercial break. “One reaction is, ‘You know, this would make a great ad debunking how Trump is attacking Hillary because she’s a woman. This can just get rid of all of these attacks that Trump’s out there hitting her because she’s a woman, that Trump hates her or whatever.”

say what you will about Romney..

he was NOT a muzzie homo seeking to destroy America, and people were absolutely INSANE not to support him and vote for him...

yet, many freepers did just that..

they stayed home, or they actually voted for the muzzie.

they FLAUNTED that they were not voting for Romney no matter what....

I wouldn't be surprised now if a search was done to find several posters who now are adamant that every body get on board for DT even if they don't like him were the same ones who openly and repeatedly dissed Romney actually helped the muzzie homo get re elected...

wouldn't be surprised one bit..the hypocrisy of it all...

you support your party candidate, good, bad or indifferent...its the lesser of two evils but you do it!

too bad that same principle wasn't stressed in 2012.

" I dislike Hillary Clinton but I wouldn’t say that I hate her"

I can say that I hate her and not only that, I detest her and her fellow grifter Billy the Blow and even their dtr, since she seems to follow in their evil footsteps...

So you think Rush, worth hundreds of millions, can be bought for less than he probably spends on jet fuel and greens fees in a given year?

what makes people think Rush is a republican?....he's an elitist....all he really wants to be is with the "in" crowd...

which is why he is always namedropping...

I've understood this about him since the beginning....its not news...

the other thing is maybe we don't know, but with Breitbart going down like he did...yes I know...a "heart attack"....but still ...maybe there have been threats for them to play lightweights this election...

however, I can never see Levin playing a lightweight...he's a true passionate conservative...and he certainly can have his own ideas about candidates, at least I can expect them to be his own, not his owners...

I was never invested in Cruz(Trump neither) although I was proud the way Cruz called McConnell out on the Senate floor...

Trump is not a conservative...if you've voting for him thinking he's a conservative you're in for a big letdown...

what he is though is a leader....that's his strong point..

and sometimes you just need a leader (again, not big on Trump)

..he's not mamby pamby like so many pubs..

I still am so angry that McCain was so brutal in attacking barry in 2008..NOT!...he went after him with a feather...

Hey, not sure why you are swooping in here as some sort of Rush defender, but I did not specifically mention Rush...Since you did, I will say that yeah, I do think $8 million buys a lot of something for someone...not sure what that something was or for whom, but clearly there is some sort of quid pro quo...

You seem to know a lot about Rush and his finances... perhaps you can tell me how much Rush’s revenue is down because his numbers are way down...have been for a few years. I think Rush is not nearly as popular as he was in past. Beck is in financial trouble...Don’t know about Levin, but he probs needed seed money for his stupid internet show.

Maybe Rush is above the monetary appeal, but clearly he has lost his “I am going to remain neutral during primary” stance. Inquiring minds would like to know why, and $8 million are a lot of reasons.

I AM A CONSERVATIVE, and so is Senator Cruz.

Ted Cruz is not a conservative. He is a Bushie. His wife is CFR. His wife has Goldman-Sacks tattoos on her ass, and maybe on her boobs. Conservative? I think not. Do you, Mr Ambush, have a definition of what a Conservative is?

Trump is a Populist. So was Ronald Reagan. Trump is much more in the mold of Reagan than Cruz could ever hope to be.

He voted in the Senate for some unconstitutional things such as giving Fast Track Authority to Obama.

Was that when he voted to ignore the Senate’s constitutional treaty making power by voting for the Corker bill?

So it’s OK that, if the reports are true, Rush took money from the Cruz campaign to crap on The Donald and promote Cruz? That’s what this thread is about. I am not a big fan of Donald, but he is the nominee. The decision is fairly binary: Clinton or Trump. Cruz is OUT. Sitting at home is a vote for Hillary. Pining away for Cruz is a waste.

Rush was one of the last of the national talk show hosts that I could stand to listen to.

The day after Cruz dropped out he spent at least an hour worshiping before the shrine of Saint Cruz of Canada.

I turned him off.

Perhaps I will give him another chance in a couple of weeks.

I have been a loyal listener since Bush 41 was in office.

Cruz was not all of that or a bag of chips. Neither is Trump but at least he is an NBC.

Hero worship gives me heartburn.

“So it’s OK that, if the reports are true, Rush took money from the Cruz campaign to crap on The Donald and promote Cruz? That’s what this thread is about.”

No, this is what the thread is about:

“Mr. Limbaugh then used his email account to gauge reactions to the broadcast by the billionaire’s supporters. He also asked listeners to weigh in on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.”

And this:

“Mr. Limbaugh said many conservatives in the “Never Trump” camp would be “livid” at his experiment’s results because, “they don’t understand even now the depth of the bond that exists [between Mr. Trump and his supporters].”

You are using a different article to make a ridiculous claim, that Rush Limbaugh was being paid by Ted Cruz. And even your supposed source says:

“The question is, are these talk show hosts becoming Pro-Cruz on their own volition? Or are they being paid big money to sway the election in Cruz’s favor?”

So an unknown website makes an unsubstantiated claim about Rush Limbaugh, while also arguing that “...“Neutral” Conservative News Websites Breitbart and The Daily Wire are actually fronts for the Ted Cruz Campaign” - and on that basis you accept as proven fact the idea that Rush Limbaugh is a paid operative for Ted Cruz? ARE YOU NUTS?

And you then start attacking Cruz supporters...AFTER YOUR GUY WON THE PRIMARY! Give it a break! Trump needs Cruz supporters, and other Republicans who don’t like Trump, to vote against Hillary. But if you spit and piss on them long enough, people will make the emotional decision to sit this one out. Then we have President Hillary sitting in office.

I’m trying to convince people who plan to sit this election out to vote against Hillary. Stop making it harder to do.

Insane and repulsive, at the same time. I gather you want Hillary to win?

“Donald Trump has turned to a veteran of the investment bank he frequently criticized on the campaign trail to head up his finances for the presidential campaign.

Trump named Steven Mnuchin, a former partner at Goldman Sachs, as his national finance chairman...

...Mnuchin also has worked at Soros Fund Management, whose founder, George Soros, has funded many left-leaning causes.

Mnuchin has donated frequently to Democrats, according to data from OpenSecrets — including to Clinton and Barack Obama.”

Trump’s not MY GUY, he is the nominee, whether we like it or not. Unification needs all sides to move, and in most case, compromise. The ‘never Trump’ crowd is not quite ready to move but some will. The ‘pro Cruz’ folks have not come to grips that he lost - and some will never accept that he lost. Cruz and Trump took it to the JFK-theorist and venereal-disease-shaming level. Rubio and Trump took it to the size-of-your-manhood level. All parties need to step back and evaluate with the new paradigm that Trump leads the ticket, and Hillary is the foe, not Trump. I’ve had my grieving stage and adjusted. Others have not.

***** Both the “Never Trump” and the “Trump is perfect” crowd both would be upset I would think. *****

On psycho Becks, The Blaze, their article was slanted to make it appear Rush was trying to make the Trumpers look like morons because no matter what Trump says or does the Trumpers always find a way to justify Trumps actions.
