Jodie Foster's financial thriller Money Monster is eyeing a bearish opening in the U.S., where it is looking at a debut in the low-teen millions, if tracking is correct.
Sony/TriStar insiders are being even more conservative and suggesting their pic will open in the $10 million range, thanks to another kind of monster — Captain America: Civil War, which opened to a massive $179.1 million domestically.

shaping up to be a bomb is not surprising to me given the MASSIVE TV advertising campaign, which to me usually indicates a desperation measure to convince people to go see a crappy movie.
Folks, any film that failed George Clooney is in, is destined for box office failure. Just like Hillary Clinton, he is toast...no burnt toast!!! What actor or actress of a sane mind, is dumb enough to tick off half your audience with your personal political views before your films ever hit the screens!!! Economic stupidity....and.....idiot Clooney leads the pack of dummies!!!

Clooney continues to get cast in high profile bombs year after year after year. He's not paying any price for his vocal support of leftist causes, he gets paid by Hollywood regardless. The real question is why does he keep getting hired and why are the production houses willing to throw cash away so George Clooney can continue to live the high life, because at this point they cannot possibly think he's a box office draw when they decide to pay him millions to "star" in their films.
