Actress Emma Watson has been named in the so-called "Panama Papers" as having used a company based in a Caribbean tax haven to handle her money, it was revealed Tuesday.
The 26-year-old, who is taking a break from acting to work as a United Nations goodwill ambassador and women's rights campaigner, is a shareholder in one of approximately 200,000 offshore corporations whose information was published online Monday by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).

Most of the rich are limousine liberals, time for them to start putting their money where their mouths are.
Making the tax code more complex and cranking up the taxes will only drive those that can, to take advantage of any means to hang onto their money and raise the rates on the folks in the middle.
Just limit the tax to people and companies to 10-percent, period. Tell the spending side of the government that there’s a limit, and you need to stay under whatever that number amounts to.
That is what I tell libs, if 10% is good enough for God, it is good enough for the gov.
It’s not illegal to have offshore accounts and there should be no prima facie assumption of illegality here.

The gubmint doesn't know the meaning of the word Budget. That's the big reason why I never would entertain a VAT - you'd have local, state, fed VAT and fed income, etc
There is no scandal involved with Panama Papers any more than the scandal involved in eating macaroni at your own kitchen table. Such would be a horrific scandal if the government and the MSM proclaimed it so for no other reason than that thegovernment and MSM proclaimed it.
Screw the tax man. Regardless of what I think of her politics, it’s her money to do with as she pleases.
