He’s made it clear it must be someone well familiar with the halls of Washington to help him navigate there. Whoever it is I have no doubt it will be someone that knows where the mine-fields are.
I don’t think he’s as concerned about how his running mate will appear to either party in order to favor votes for the general. He believes he has the voters in the palm of his hands and will have no problem taking Hillary out. So he’ll choose someone that will do the job he wants them to for him....which is to lead him where he wants to go.
