Huey was no saint. However, the left shot him. That is my point NOT that he was desirable.

Huey was the American version of a national socialist. Which is why FDR may have had him killed. It’s not well remembered but Hitler and Huey Long ended the depression in their areas very quickly while the new deal failed for years. FDR had a real fear that Huey Long would end up being America’s Hitler.
