Soaring Suicides Emerge As a National Crisis Laid to Economic Stall

Middle aged people laid off and unable to find work are taking another way out. They’re killing themselves. Suicide rates are soaring, according to federal data released last week. ... People in need of work are twice as likely to take their own lives as employed people, and people fired in their forties and fifties find it hardest to get hired again.

That makes boosting economic growth a life- and- death issue.

“I too draw the line at automation being implemented so quickly that there are massive disruptions and nobody would be able to earn a living. “

Each innovation was met with resistance. The introduction of the sewing machine was met with riots and sabotage. It took away the traditional hand piecework done by people in their homes and sold to companies. But the sewing machine brought improved clothing within the economic reach of nearly everybody. I remember how colleges resisted the introduction of calculators. In hindsight, seeing how much more education we got when freed from the mechanics of hand calculations and slide rules I think it was a net win.

The reason machines are replacing people is caused by government. Government regulations and government financing lawsuits against employers by “special” employees has pushed companies to limit their exposure to risk by replacing the now dangerous and over-priced for-the-skill-level employees with machines. However, those machines break, require maintenance and need reprogramming and programming updates. They will cost, probably on average, just as much as employees but the liabilities of regulation and potential lawsuits has been shifted to other entities. Running a company is all about risk avoidance.

So, don’t blame companies. Blame the regulatory environment they are trying to work within.

Eventually, nearly everybody will be “consultants” or free agents paid on a 1099. Thank government for that.

In the future robots will do the repetitive work and men and women can focus on more creative careers.

What about the men and women who, honestly, are not bright enough to engage in more creative careers? What are they to do?

I too draw the line at automation being implemented so quickly that there are massive disruptions and nobody would be able to earn a living.

The problem stems from the fact that when you have masses of people who suddenly find themselves without a means of earning a living, many will refuse to just lay down and die. Some may try to retrain, but half the population is below average, so the alternatives are crime or/and going full bernie.

I think the globalists dreamed up Agenda 21 as a means to deal with this new Player Piano world.

If the underclass won't willingly suicide itself away, then they will be culled by other means.

But the time frame that it might take for all these wonderful jobs to open up for people might be a couple of generations. That is assuming a robot’s capacity for creative intelligence doesn’t also surpass humans during that time.

CREATE YOUR OWN JOB! Fang is now in his seventies & has
been selling on ebay for a few years after he retired to
augment our Social Scarcity. He likes procuring items &
listing them & does okay. - Before that, he had gotten a
job where they immediately went into bankruptcy; so he
stayed on & worked with the trustee to settle things &
went into that line of work, finally accepting the fact he
didn’t do well under a boss. So, became his own boss with
me as his secretary & gofer. It worked for us. - Face each
day even if you wake up feeling crappy. Splash your
face, brush your teeth, realize everyone has their
insecurities & GIT CRACKING! Also - NAP DAILY!

Like what? Growing pot? Manufacturing's NOT coming back. Anyone who thinks it can and will is delusional.

It isn't automation that is ruining our lives it is we let third world slaves build our junk.

Part of our nature is to work and to be productive. The government has deliberately sent work overseas and brought in non-Americans to replace Americans in the workforce. This was intentional, and done with full knowledge and foresight.

0bammy’s administration has done nothing to help, in spite of crowing that it would have a “laser like focus on jobs”, a deliberate and intentional lie.

Then the country will die.

Alexander Hamilton may have had a bent for centralization, but one thing he was on the mark about was that any truly independent nation needs “to possess within itself all the essentials of national supply; these comprise the means of subsistence, habitation, clothing and defense”.

Virtually all of these politicians couldn’t care less if regular Americans go bankrupt, starve, lose their homes, lose their families, and in some cases, lose their lives, to illegal crime, illegal hiring, etc.

It’s a very serious problem and they’re all covering for it, down to nearly every last man and woman.

And yet some of the insider frauds claim they can’t figure out why half the population have zero faith or trust left in the D.C. lawyers/politicians. A good percentage of Americans simply no longer trust them. I personally have nothing but burning contempt left for them.

These traitorous whores have no problem selling out their countrymen for cash.

The way they smile and pretend they’re your best buddies, all the while plotting to sell you and your family out to the highest bidder gives me the same burning contempt. Like the idiot Jeb Bush and his enablers.

And that includes all their talk radio buddies.

Face each day even if you wake up feeling crappy. Splash your face, brush your teeth, realize everyone has their insecurities & GIT CRACKING! Right you are. Did it for 13 months, until I landed new job. Can't be pissed at Gen next /whatever because they landed in sh!t. Still counting my lucky stars, but completely sympathize with chaps who own a large life insurance policy, with kids in college and carrying mortgage who calculate "I'm worth more dead than alive". Interesting that dudes choose hanging or gunshot over OD.
