Seriously, how long is this jackass in this position? I almost can't remember when he wasn't RNC chair. Are we ever rid of him?

The link below is a very interesting read into the man I call the GOPe ‘prince’.

http://edberry.com/blog/polymontana/player/donald-trump/an-open-letter-to-mark-levin-trump-vs-cruz/

snip-—

I lived in Wisconsin during the Reince Priebus reign of terror when he was the State GOP Chairman. I’ll bet not a lot of people know about his former life. Ask Former Congressman Mark Neumann, or any of the other Gubernatorial candidates, what happened when they dared to run against “The Chosen One”, Scott Walker, for Governor in 2010. Ask Michael Steele what happened when Reince Priebus decided he wanted Steele’s RNC Chairmanship. You can also ask Mark Willis the same thing, from 2013.

Thank you for posting. Priebus is GOPe thru and thru :(

If Trump wins the nomination, what’s to stop him from setting up his own RNC?

Good point! I don’t know why he couldn’t

Perhaps this is the agreement that will unify the party: Trump is the nominee, Priebus still in charge of party.

Reince, along with every other Republican, said in 2014, “If you give us the Senate, we’ll repeal Obamacare.”

If Trump wins the nomination, and especially if he wins the election, he should disband the party. I am done with them. The GOP should be given a proper burial.

With Jeb and friends gone, the GOPe’s fallback is to hand the WH to Hillary and keep their little fiefdom intact while working on their hands-across-the-aisle McLame game.

Let's see how well the GOP fares if they pull some crap at the convention and hand the nomination to someone like Ryan. BURN IT DOWN.

To the ground...

Another tremor in the death rattle of an American political party, for sure... and possibly the country.

PS: A guy with a face like that, and a name like that, wouldn't have lasted a week in south Oklahoma City back in the day. His mom would have taken him to the other side of town where the nice kids were.

The purpose of a political party is to give the people the illusion of having a voice in government. Individuals say "what can I do, I'm just one person" so they join a party of like minded individuals to foster and support candidates for office that represent their values. Or so they think. And perhaps it was so at one point. But today the GOP clearly has contempt for the rank and file and see them as a necessary evil. They resent having to pander to them and pretend to be conservatives every two or four or six years. But because they control who gets the money, they can ensure that nobody who really represents the base ever gets through.

Years ago I read a series of books called the Foundation series by Isaac Aasimov. The premise was that a guy figured out how to predict the future based on the psychology of crowds. Individuals he couldn't figure out but the bigger the crowd, the easier it was to predict. He saw societal collapse coming and he created a foundation to rebuild everything over eons. For centuries everything went according to his plan until a wild card arose. A mutant calling himself "The Mule". An individual with the power to actually influence what the whole crowd did. Suddenly all the conventional wisdom went out the window and the Foundation went into a panic.

We're seeing that played out right now. Trump is a man the party cannot control. We thought Cruz was but seeing how they are playing him like a fiddle right now I realize that wasn't so. But Trump, he's a real wild card. The GOP is in complete panic right now and in their desperation they may just do some very stupid things. Time will tell.

I knew this was coming, but that doesn’t bother me. Why? Because if he follows through with his threat, And I believe that he will, the day after the election, the Republican Party will exist only as a figment in the imagination of certain people. If the Republican Party thinks the shellacking they took in ‘08 was bad, they
haven’t seen anything yet.

Let me be very clear. If the eGOP steal this from Trump (or Cruz) I will vote democrats. I will hope to have the GOP lose so badly that they are forced out of the party. I am done with their elitist crap.
