If Donald Trump wins the Republican presidential nomination this summer, Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus is vowing not to give the billionaire’s campaign control over the party leading up to the November election, according to a report in The New York Times.

Maybe off topic, but what is the purpose of a political party?
Is the purpose of the Republican party to create a cushy spot for Reince Preibus and his boys??? Is it to create a Democrat/liberal Lite opposition in Washington, DC, to the Democrats??
Is their purpose to gain power and win elections to affect the direction of this country, in a conservative direction?
Is their purpose to win elections with handpicked liberal lite candidates, so they can enjoy the accouterments of power, without actually changing the direction of the country??
Is their purpose to talk a good game about conservative values, but do so in a way so that the NY Times and liberal media don’t get mad at them or call them racist/sexist/homophobic/xenophobic???
Is their purpose to honor the choices made by their members in primaries and caucuses, and whoever is the choice of their own members will be the presidential nominee, and thus will have earned control of the party machinery??
If you understand that they STEAL the money of voters,

I think this is an amazing situation we see.
There had been talk early on, about concerns that Trump would run as a 3rd party or independent candidate if he didn’t win the GOP nomination.
Now we’re hearing that the GOP insiders would support a 3rd party/independent candidate, if Trump is the GOP nominee?? These guys would abandon their own party, and let Hillary be elected, if their preferred guy doesn’t win the nomination through the primary/caucus process????
I can’t believe what I’m seeing and hearing. Buckle up, could be a bumpy ride to Cleveland and beyond.
And we could see the GOP leaders actually wanting Hillary elected to keep a GOP nominee out of the White House. Unbelievable.
