A citizen and tax-paying resident of that fair city should invite Trump to dinner at their home. That would be a lovely law suit in the making against the city “leaders.”

Not to mention since the major has pursued the publicity hound agenda, Trump visits, with no formal campaigning. But....given the mayor’s look-at-me stuff, there are probably major protests, disruptions, overtime for city workers, pretty soon the city has financial, legal issues and ......Trump has a nice dinner.

I used to work in LA near West Hollywood back in the day. WeHo is notoriously full of homosexuals, gay bars, etc. The mayor is pandering to her constituency. Not sure she has a legal leg to stand on.

I never though about this, but the 14th Amendment doesn’t single out a state’s citizens but protects all US citizens.
14th Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

So by abridging Trump’s 1st Amendment free speech rights, this low-information mayor is arguably violating the 14th Amendment regardless that Trump is not a resident of California.
